MassFiscal Applauds 32 House Lawmakers Who Voted Against Obamacare Legislators' opposition vindicated given numerous problems with access, cost, website

Boston, MA: Given the compelling stories told at its press conference earlier today about the impact of Obamacare on Massachusetts residents, the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance, a non-partisan, non-profit advocacy group for right-of-center economic, fiscal, and good-government policy, reaffirmed its opposition to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and again commended the 32 representatives who voted against it last June.

“A year ago, Massachusetts got rid of healthcare as we know it, and only 32 lawmakers in the House stood up and put Massachusetts first,” stated Paul Craney, the group's executive director. “They knew then and we all know now that what comes from Washington isn't always the best solution.”

Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance was joined by Bill Vernon of NFIB and several lawmakers today for a press conference to highlight and acknowledge the lawmakers who voted against the implementation of Obamacare. The original vote in the House took place on June 19, 2013 and included a bi-partisan group of lawmakers.
