Born and raised in Manchester, Fury weighed just 1lb at birth after being born three months premature. His father John named him after Mike Tyson. From Irish traveller heritage, the“Gypsy King” is undefeated in 28 professional fights, winning 27 with 19 knockouts, and drawing once. His most famous victory came in 2015, when he stunned longtime champion Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles. He was forced to vacate the belts because of issues with drugs, alcohol and mental health, and did not fight again for more than two years. Most thought he was done with boxing forever. Until an amazing comeback fight with Deontay Wilder in December 2018. It was an instant classic, ending in a split decision tie. Outside of the ring, Tyson Fury is a mental health ambassador. He donated his million dollar purse from the Deontay Wilder fight to the homeless. This book is dedicated to the cause of mental health awareness.

  • Smith Takes on Eggington in March 30 Liverpool Homecoming
SMITH TAKES ON EGGINGTON IN MARCH 30 LIVERPOOL HOMECOMING Liam Smith will make his long-awaited Liverpool homecoming on March 30 when he takes on Sam Eggington at the M&S Bank Arena, live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN in the US. Smith became Liverpool’s first World Champion in over 20 years when he stopped American John Thompson to claim the WBO Super- Welterweight crown at the Merseyside arena in 2015 before making a second successful defence of the title against Predrag Radosevic at the same venue in 2016. ‘Beefy’ hasn’t fought in his home city since and is itching to get back under the lights as he sets about winning back a version of the World title he bravely lost against pound-for- pound star Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in Texas in 2016, and in doing so becoming the city’s first two-time World Champion. Former European Welterweight Champion Eggington knows he is fighting for his career after suffering a shock stoppage defeat to Tanzania’s Hassan Mwakinyo at Arena Birmingham in September. ‘The Savage’ was preparing to face former World ruler Brandon Rios at Wembley Stadium when he was wiped out by the dangerous African, but the Stourbridge man believes a win against Smith would put his name back in the mix for title action at 154lbs. “It’s a very good fight for me,” said Smith. “I’ve done a lot – and I mean a lot – of sparring with Sam. You know what you are going to get with him. He comes to fight.

  • Statement from Classic Entertainment & Sports
STATEMENT FROM CLASSIC ENTERTAINMENT & SPORTS “Since our team at Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc., joined forces with Global Boxing Promotions in 2010, we have diligently worked together to guide Mariusz Wach to the precipice of a world heavyweight championship. We fulfilled our obligation as co-promoters, utilizing our wisdom and relationships within the sport of boxing. Under the tutelage of Classic Entertainment & Sports and Global Boxing Promotions, Wach won five consecutive bouts, rose to No. 4 in the World Boxing Council (WBC) ratings and achieved his lifelong dream Nov. 17th by challenging Wladimir Klitschko for the World Boxing Association (WBA), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight titles. “Wach put his faith and trust in us as co-promoters to guide him to the top. In turn, we put our faith and trust in Wach and the trainers he felt most comfortable working with in preparing for the opportunity to win a world title. Wach spent four months working exclusively with his team of trainers in preparation for last month’s title bout, fully trusting their guidance and judgment under the assumption they would act within the rules and regulations set forth by boxing’s most respected governing bodies. “Without the benefit of any direct involvement in Wach’s training camp, we held Wach’s trainers to the same strict code of conduct and ethics we expect from all of our fighters, trainers and employees. CES and Global Boxing Promotions fulfilled its obligations as Wach’s co-promoters and expected his trainers to do the same in preparation for last months’ heavyweight title bout.

  • Dmitry Chudinov: Thousands of Russians Will See Me Knockout Patrick Nielsen
Dmitry Chudinov: Thousands of Russians will see me knockout Patrick Nielsen Patrick Nielsen faces the toughest test of his career when he travels to Moscow to challenge Dmitry Chudinov for the interim WBA World Middleweight title. Chudinov, who is currently undefeated in fourteen professional contests, claimed the WBA interim strap with the sixth-round technical knockout of Columbian veteran Juan Camilo Novoa in December. The 27 year-old from Serpukhov, Russia has no intention of giving up his title when he meets Nielsen at the Mytishchi Arena on June 1st. ‘’This is the most important fight of my career,’’ said Chudinov. ‘’Losing for me is not an option. This is my belt and nobody is going to take it away from me. ‘’It is not just enough for me to win. I want to win convincingly. I want there to be no question that I have won. That is why I will go for the knockout. When your opponent is lying on their back there can be no question. ‘’I have a lot of respect for Patrick. He is a tall southpaw with a long reach and good boxing abilities. I am not expecting an easy fight. But I have a lot of experience fighting southpaws and I will know exactly what I need to do to beat him. ‘’He must come to Russia, to my country. I will have thousands of fans supporting me and he will have no one. Patrick is away from home for the first time in his career and I think that will be hard for him.
