The Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office recognized those who have received promotions and those who have retired over the past nine months during a ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Law Enforcement Training Academy. Sheriff Ken Stolle promoted 14 individuals to the ranks of corporal, sergeant, and lieutenant, and two to the rank of captain. The Sheriff’s Office also celebrated the retirement of 17 members (10 deputies, 5 auxiliary deputies and 2 civilians) who collectively accounted for more than 300 years of combined service.
