SAS campaigners can give talks on all our campaign issues to fit around the national curriculum requirements. Each talk is educational, informative and very visual. Some free SAS goodies also help with the audience participation! The talk costs £50 plus travel. As we only have a few campaigners at SAS we can only do a few talks a month, so please book in advance (Tel: 01872 555950). For the time being we are limited to the South West but we hope to be able to offer nationwide school talks in 2007. Education Class-side SAS Citizenship Education Pack We also offer an SAS Citizenship Pack. The pack reviewed and described by TES Teacher as an ‘informative resource about empowerment and participation’ has been developed in line with the National Curriculum guidelines focusing on the Citizenship curriculum. Each pack comprises of a 20-minute video (from Classroom Video) and 3 projects (An Introduction to SAS, Setting up a Campaign and Debating an Issue). There are supporting teacher notes and printed student materials. Perhaps you are a teacher looking for a resource to fit your classroom projects, a student who wants to use this project in class time or an SAS member looking to donate an environmental education resource to your local school. The education pack costs £25 including postage and packing and can be ordered by sending a cheque to SAS (please make cheques payable to Surfers Against Sewage) or online at www.sas.org.uk/education/index.asp
