Observations were made on 20 tree species in the moist deciduous forest (MDF) and 18 tree species in the evergreen forest (EGF). The study plots were situated at Peechi and Vazhani for MDF and Sholayar for EGF. No major damage was observed although most trees had some insect associates causing occasional damage. Leaf feeding was the most common damage and it was noticed on all tree species, to varying degrees. However, loss due to insect feeding never exceeded 10% of the total foliage present at any particular time except in 4 species each in the two forest types. These exceptions were Grewia tiliaefolia, Haldina cordifolia, Lannea coromandelica and Tectona grandis in the MDF and Anacolosa densiflora, Actinodaphne madraspatana, Cinnamomum verum and Litsea floribunda in the EGF; but even for these species the highest leaf loss was only 21%. Other types of damage, viz., sap-sucking, gall formation and stem boring were insignificant, except in Mesua nagassarium in the EGF, in which some trees were killed, apparently by a stem boring buprestid beetle.

When grown on lateritic, gravelly, coastal sandy areas, it rarely exceeds 6 m and develops a spreading habit and globose shape with crown diameter to 12 m. Grown Fruit (Chris Gardiner) inland on loams, it reaches 15 m and is much branched, with a smaller (4- 6 m) crown diameter. The root system of a mature A. occidentale, when grown from the seed, consists of a very prominent taproot and a well- developed and extensive network of lateral and sinker roots. Leaves simple, alternate, coriaceus, glabrous, obovate, rounded at ends, 10-18 x 8-15 cm, with short petiole, pale green or reddish when young and dark green when mature. Toheed Iqbal and Mian Inayatullah Mian Inayatullah Abstract Department of Entomology, Two new records of genus Antrocephalus Kirby belonging to Family Chalcididae (Chalcidoidea: The University of Agriculture, Hymenoptera) were identified from the collection of 200 specimens collected with insect collection Peshawar, Pakistan. sweep net and Malaise Trap from different ecological zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan for two consecutive years in 2012-13. These species were comprised of A. mitys and A. nicus. Diagnostic characters, host record and worldwide distribution of the species are also provided with the description of the species. Key to the species of genus Antrocephalus of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan is also provided along with illustrations of important characters. Keywords: Antrocephalus, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, New records, Pakistan, Parasitoids and Taxonomy. 1. Introduction Chalcididae are medium to large sized insects varying in size from 1.5mm to 27mm in length. Distinctive characters are coarse setiferous punctures on head and thoracic dorsum, enlarged and swollen metafemur with denticulate or toothed ventral margins, larger metapleuron and arched metatibia (Gibson et al., 1997) [15]. Chalcididae are similar to Leucospidae in numerous physical features including body size, coarse setiferous punctures on head and thorax, arched metatibia and enlarged and toothed metafemur. However, Chalcididae differs from them by having flat forewing instead of folded lengthwise, poorly developed labiomaxillary complex, usually exposed labrum, tegulae more of less broad and oval, modified apex of scutellum and simple dorsellum (Bouček, 1974) [7].

In order to achieve acceptance of this unconventional food by the West, this thesis explores the barriers to acceptance and possibilities to tackle these barriers.
