Phone : 022-2264 1150/51, 22620601, 22690602; Fax : 022-22692102 E-Mail : [email protected] Internet: http://www.dte.org.in Urgent By Speed Post No. 2A/ADG/ADM/2011-2012/ARC/649 Office Order Date: Tuesday, June 07, 2011 Subject: Online Submission of CAP admission form for the admission to the First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2011-2012 Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has decided to have web based online software for receipt of the Online Application Form and Option form for admission to the First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2011-2012 through multiple rounds of admission under CAP. The Directorate has identified some institutions from the state to work for the receipt of the Online Application Form and Option Form herein after referred as “Application Form Receipt Centers” (ARC). The list of the ARCs is attached herewith as an annexure. The Director/Principal of the identified institute should appoint one coordinator & supporting staff for this activity and communicate their names, contact numbers & e-mail address to this Directorate at [email protected] immediately. The Directorate will pay Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty Only) per receipt of online Application Form and Rs. 25/- (Rs. Twenty Five Only) per receipt per round of option form to the respective ARCs after successful completion of the admission process of the respective courses. The distribution of this amount between staff & institute will be as follows, Sr. No. Distribution Designation of the personnel 1. 50% Institute development /IRG fund 2. 5% Principal/Director/Chief Coordinator 3. 7% ARC Coordinator 4. 10% Equal distribution amongst Data Verification Team/ Scrutiny Team 5. 20% Equal distribution amongst Data Entry Operators 6. 2% Administrative Officer/ Registrar 8. 3% Clerks/Cashier/Telephone Operator involved in ARC activity 9. 3% Class IV staff involved in ARC activity The payment should be made to the staffs only if he/she is actively involved in the ARC activity. The expenditure for ARC and facilitation activity shall be incurred from the 50% amount deposited in Institute development /IRG fund. The required training of the operation & procedure will be provided to all the ARCs as per the schedule given bellow. Each ARC should depute two responsible officers for the training program minimum at the level of lecturer having information technology background. The Programmers of the regional offices shall work as coordinator of the concerned region and hence they are required to attend the training programme and coordinate the ARC of the respective region for the online admission system. The Minimum infrastructure required at ARC is as follows, 1. 5 Nos. Pentium IV or higher PC for Confirmation and 10 Nos. Pentium IV or higher PC for submission of online CAP admission form. 2. A4 size flatbed Scanner 2 Nos. for scanning the documents. 3. Windows 98/2000/XP/2003/Vista/7 Operating System with up to date security & service patches 4. Microsoft Office XP/2003 /2007 at least on single machine 5. All the 15 machines should be connected through LAN with Internet facility 6. 2 Nos. DeskJet / LaserJet Printers with adequate number of cartridges and A4 size plain good quality papers. 7. Minimum 2Mbps Broadband/ Leased line with Proxy Server for Internet sharing on the entire 15 PCs. 8. Counseling Hall with required facilities for Minimum 20 candidates. All the Directors/Principals of the ARCs are hereby informed to make the above infrastructure ready and in working condition before the start of the receipt of the Online Application form and they are required to setup separate facilitation center for submission of online application form as per requirement for smooth conduct of the receipt of the online application and option form. The ARC Payments shall be done strictly by NEFT, hence the ARC officer should bring the Bank Details (Account Number, ISF Code and Name), preferably Xerox of Cheque Book, while coming for ARC Training The ARC shall assist the aspiring candidate in sale and submission of Online Application Form, arrange counseling etc. If any ARC found involved in any form of unlawful activities like misguidance & non co-operation to the aspiring candidates, ARC will be liable for severe action like non payment of honorarium dues and / or disqualified as ARC activities henceforth. This office shall appoint the observers through concerned regional offices for monitoring of the ARC activity in the region. Rodrigues Institute of Management Studies is one of the many excellent educational institutions established by the Agnel Ashram Fathers in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The institute is affiliated to University of Mumbai and offers AICTE approved Masters in Management Studies program. Under the inspiration and guidance of the founder Fr. C Rodrigues and a dedicated few, the Agnel movement started in 1957, with an orphanage and a trade school in carpentry. Today this movement has grown from a humble beginning to a universal family. Under the guidance of Agnel Ashram Fathers, it caters to full-fledged schools, industrial training centres, polytechnics, engineering colleges at the bachelor and post graduate levels, a Business School and Law College. It has spread its wings with large technical complexes at Bandra in Mumbai, Verna in Goa, New Delhi, Noida, Ambernath,Vashi in Navi Mumbai and in Pune. Inc Chairman's Message Dear Members A year has passed since the Global event of IEEE 125th Anniversary was celebrated in India at The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. Many events have taken place in last one year. Monsoon has been good this year after an initial setback. The economy is poised for a growth after the turmoil of last few years in the banking and financial institutions all over the world. At the June IEEE board Meeting Series, the IEEE Board of Directors approved that to support IEEE's strategy, an office is scheduled to open in Bangalore, India in late September 2010. The IEEE Member and Geographic Activities (MGA) Board approved the elevation of the IEEE Pune Subsection to IEEE Pune Section in Region 10 and formation of Malabar Subsection of the Kerala Section. I would like to congratulate Pune Section and the Malabar Subsection on their formation and wish them a great future. I would also like to commend the initiative of Mumbai Section and Kerala Section in facilitating their formation. I would not have known about the above two decisions if I had not read the September R10 Newsletter.It is strange that India Council which is supposed to coordinate and propagate IEEE activities in India does not get communications from IEEE HQ on such matters. Even the local entities do not inform or discuss with India Council. I am confused about the role and objectives of India Council in this context.
