Let this be lesson to us, though a very expensive one, that all humanity must live with Nature and not at the expense of it. We, the disciples of Maharishi Dayanand ji, understand that we have to live as per the teachings of the Vedas, respecting all forms of life, and maintaining the balance of Nature. Rodrigues Institute of Management Studies is one of the many excellent educational institutions established by the Agnel Ashram Fathers in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The institute is affiliated to University of Mumbai and offers AICTE approved Masters in Management Studies program. Under the inspiration and guidance of the founder Fr. C Rodrigues and a dedicated few, the Agnel movement started in 1957, with an orphanage and a trade school in carpentry. Today this movement has grown from a humble beginning to a universal family. Under the guidance of Agnel Ashram Fathers, it caters to full-fledged schools, industrial training centres, polytechnics, engineering colleges at the bachelor and post graduate levels, a Business School and Law College. It has spread its wings with large technical complexes at Bandra in Mumbai, Verna in Goa, New Delhi, Noida, Ambernath,Vashi in Navi Mumbai and in Pune. The Institute has its four departments, which have been created based on area of specialization viz. Human Resource, Operations, Marketing and Finance. These departments are not watertight compartments and well integrated due to the interdisciplinary nature of the programs offered.

The Nayak ruler Muthukrishnappa Nayak reestablished the ancient line of sethupathys who were the chieftains under the pandyas in the beginning of 17th century as protector and guardian of the pilgrims to Sethusamudram and Rameswaram. The protector of Sethusamudram was called as Sethupathy. Sadaikkathevar was a loyal subordinate of the Nayaks. He emerged as the chief of the poligas. Sethupathis were maravas of Ramnad, Madurai and Tirunelveli. They had Ramnad as their official headquarters. Sadaikka Thevar (1636 AD To 1645 )AD Kuttan Sethupathi made his adopted son Sadaikkathevar II as the next ruler. This was opposed by Kuttan Sethupathi’s natural son Thambi, Thirumalai Nayak supported the claim of Thambi. The ruler Sadaikka thevar was dethroned and jailed. Thambi was made as Sethupathi. Thambi was not competent. Sadaikkathevar’s nephews Raghunathathevar and Narayanathevar rebelled against Thambi’s rule. Accepting the popular representation, Thirumalai Nayak released Sadaikkathevar from Jail and made him Sethupathi after dismissing Thambi from the throne Sadiakkathevar constructed a new Chokkanatha temple at Rameswaram.
