HOUSTON FOOTBALL HOUSTON FOOTBALL 2013 SEASON COACHING STAFF THE COUGARS A new era for Houston Athletics began to take shape on Feb. 8, 2013 when ground was officially broken on the Houston Football Stadium. Set to open in August of 2014, the state-of-the-art stadium will hold at least 40,000 with premium seating for 5,000 and a state-of-the-art synthetic turf designed to host a multitude of events. With an exquisite view of the Houston skyline always visible in its northwest corner, the stadium will also house the Bert F. Winston Band and Performance Center on its east end. Designed by PageSoutherlandPage and the DLR Group, the stadium is being built by Manhattan Construction.
