19 CHAPTER III RESEARCH METHODOLOGY This chapter presents how the researcher collected and analyzed the data. Research method consists of research design, data source, instrument of the research, data collection, and technique of data analysis. A. Research Design This research use a descriptive qualitative method to identify and analyze translation techniques in translating Judy‘s Utterances in Zootopia movie. According to Arikunto (1993: 208), there is no hypothesis in descriptive research as it only describes a phenomenon without any hypothesis. This research was carried out by formulating the problem, collecting data, classifying data, analyzing data, and drawing the conclusion and some suggestion. B. Data Source The data of this research were taken from The Subtitle Text of Zootopia movie. Zootopia is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated buddy cop comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 55th Disney animated feature film.
