He's been around and paid his dues and this al- bum is filled with the same kind of music he's been doing for years. Except maybea little better this time. The album is just the finest thing to listen to that I've run across in a long time. It's so mellow it just kind of lays you back naturally and leaves you feeling good for the rest of the day. Seven of the 12 titles are tunes John either wrote or collaborated on, and four of these are in the "great" category. Both sides of his new single are really fine and "My Sweet Lady" and "Sun- shine On My Shoulders" are a couple of the prettiest songs I have ever heard anywhere. Hisversionof McCartney's "Junk" and "Let It Be" and JT's "Fire and Rain" are the only ones I've heard that could rival the originals. He sings them like they were his own, rather than someone else's. Try this one on for size and see if you don't agree with me.
