Special mention may be made of a useful number of works on ecclesiastical theology illustrating the acute controversies within and outside the Established Church during the period of the Oxford or Tractarian Movement. Among the periodicals acquired are seven volumes of The British and Foreign Evangelical Review and twelve volumes of Theologische Studien und Kritiken, all required to fill gaps in the Library's files. A few required numbers of Welsh periodicals were obtained. The collection includes also ten volumes of 'Amryw'.
