5:30pm REGISTRATION and LIGHT REFRESHMENTS 5:50pm Welcome and Introductory Remarks 6:00pm Overview of Sexuality and Social Issues - Panel Discussion Sexual Dysfunction and Sexual Addiction Annette Gates, BA The nature of basic dsm-sexual dysfunctions such as hypoactive desire, female arousal, male erectile, premature ejaculation, anorgasmia, post-SSRI sexual dysfunction (PSSD), vaginismus, PTSD, persistent sexual arousal syndrome, sexual addiction, hypersexuality, gender/sexual identity. How sexual dysfunctions may exist in past, present or future experiences of clients. Talking with clients about their physical experience of these dysfunctions in order to facilitate sexual integration and healing. Sexual Addiction and Co-Occurring Disorders Paul Rinaldi, PhD Definition and diagnosis of sexual addiction. The connection between particular substances and sexually compulsive behaviors. Commonly seen co-occurring disorders. Treatment of patients who present sexual addiction and co-occurring disorders. Children with Sexualized Behaviors and Trauma Glorious Dunkerley, PhD Learn about children with sexualized behaviors and explore the severity and impact on children, their family and the community. Prevention and intervention techniques used to treat this population. LGBT Issues Mikael Elam, MDiv The socialization and pathalogizing of LGBT persons. Uncover a world of “LGBT” persons prior to 19th/20th century Eurocentric pathology of Human Sexuality. Cross cultural reference of revalidation of LGBT persons and the eradication of both external and internal homo and trans phobias. 7:30pm Tackling Specific Sexuality Issues - Group Work and Role Play Through the use of role play by the program participants, each group will engage in a specific case study that addresses several of the following issues; Sexual Dysfunction, Sexual Addiction, Co-Occurring Disorders, Substance Abuse, Children with Sexualized Behaviors, Trauma and LGBT Issues. 8:30pm Panel Discussion and Open Forum - “Discussing Sex with your Clients” Report out group work discussions around case study scenarios. 9:00pm PARTICIPANTS SUBMIT EVALUATIONS
