Editorial Once again Summer is here and again we see the goodness of God as we look around us. 2 THE MINISTER’S DESK It wasn’t my intention to sit down and write these words on the date of the opening night of the General Assembly, on the night when Rev Ian McNie hands over responsibilities to our new Moderator, the Rev Frank Sellar. 8 9 Some Christians, today, look like they are enduring their salvation. They are void of the joy of the Lord. They look as though they've been sucking on lemons for some time and have a persistent sour expression on their face. Serving God, for them, is like going to the dentist for a root canal.

Who would want what they have? If that was the only example you had seen of a Christian, would that draw you into a relationship with Jesus? Probably not. I know it wouldn't me. On Sunday 24th April, 2016 the joint choirs of West Church, Ballymena and Trinity, Ballymoney came together for a praise service. The choir on the evening numbered approximately 54 members for both choirs. The service was led by Rev. Daniel John Kane and Rev. Phil Kerr preached the sermon. This was a most enjoyable evening of worship, praise and fellowship and supper was enjoyed in the hall by all at the conclusion of the service.

14 This year a number of events were planned to encourage members of the congregation to come and participate in family outreach. The first of these was Messy Christmas which proved to be a massive success, both for those who came and for the Trinity Team who organised. There were a number of activities for children and the church and halls were fully used to provide great fun for all. Hot food was provided after each function and some 220 - 250 people on both occasions took the opportunity to meet for fun and fellow- ship. Well done to those who planned and provided!
