The initiative promotes the use of sports as a tool for: o Life skills training; increase knowledge on risks of crime, violence and drug-use; and promote pro-social behavior; o Challenge normative believes and perceptions related to violence and crime, including gender-based violence, and promote tolerance, respect and non-discrimination; o Enhance participation and empowerment of young persons; o Creating safe public spaces in the community for young people to develop, participate and positively interact with their peers and the community.
