Flytten av klädindustrin till U-länderna pressade ner priserna på kläder eftersom det var billigare att tillverka där, vilket också gjorde att det blev lättare att få tag på. Det ledde i sin tur till att fler sorters klädesplagg och stilar blev populära och folk kunde lättare skapa en personlig stil.
