2000 Electoral Districts (Amendment) SBC Chap. 14 Section 1 ELECTORAL DISTRICTS AMENDMENT ACT, 2000 CHAPTER 14 Assented to June 29, 2000 HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of. the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows: 1 Schedule 2 of the Electoral Districts Act, S.B. C. 1999, c. 31, is repealed and the following substituted: Schedule 2 Areas and Boundaries of Electoral Districts 1 Abbotsford - Clayburn The Abbotsford - Claybum Electoral District is all that portion of the Province of British Columbia con tained within the following boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the southerly prolongation of the centreline of Gladwin Road and the centreline of Highway 1; thence westerly along the centreline of Highway 1 to the centreline of Clearbrook Road; thence southerly along the centreline of Clearbrook Road produced to the centreline of King Road; thence easterly along the centreline of King Road to the northerly prolongation of the centreline of Clearbrook Road; thence southerly to and along the centreline of Clearbrook Road produced to the southerly boundary of the Province of British Columbia; thence easterly along the southerly boundary of the Province of British Columbia to an intersection with the centreline of Sumas Way; thence northerly along the centreline of Sumas Way to the centreline of Marshall Road; thence easterly along the centreline of Marshall Road to the southerly prolongation of the centreline of McMillan Road; thence northerly to and along the centreline of McMillan Road produced to the centreline of High Drive; thence westerly along the centreline of High Drive produced to the centreline of Old Claybum Road; thence northeasterly along the centreline of Old Claybum Road to the centreline of McKee Drive; thence southeasterly along the centreline of McKee Drive produced to the centreline of McKee Road; thence northeasterly along the centreline of McKee Road produced to the centreline of Upper Sumas Mountain Road; thence northerly along the centreline of Upper Sumas Mountain Road to the centreline of Dawson Road; thence westerly along the centreline of Dawson Road to the easterly boundary of the west half of Section 6, Township 20, East of the Coast Meridian; thence northerly along the easterly boundaries of the west halves of Sections 6 and 7, Township 20 to the northeast comer of said west half of Section 7; thence northerly along the easterly boundary of the Fractional west half of Fractional Section 18, Township 20 to the northeast comer thereof, being a point on the left bank of Fraser River; thence due North to the middle line of Fraser River; thence in a general westerly direction along the middle line of Fraser River to the northerly prolongation of the centreline of Gladwin Road; thence southerly to and along the centreline of Gladwin Road produced to the centreline of Highway 1, being the point of commencement. (Population: 42 910) 1 SBC Chap. 14 Electoral Districts (Amendment) 49 Eliz. 2 Schedule 2 2 Abbotsford - Mount Lehman The Abbotsford - Mount Lehman Electoral District is all that portion of the Province of British Columbia contained within the following boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the southerly prolongation of the centreline of Gladwin Road and the centreline of Highway 1; thence westerly along the centreline of Highway 1 to the centreline of Clearbrook Road; thence southerly along the centreline of Clearbrook Road produced to the centreline of King Road; thence easterly along the centreline of King Road to the northerly prolongation of the centreline of Clearbrook Road; thence southerly to and along the centreline of Clearbrook Road produced to the southerly boundary of the Province of British Columbia; thence westerly along said southerly boundary to the southeast comer of the west half of Section 5, Township 13, East of the Coast Meridian, New Westminster Land District; thence northerly along the easterly boundaries of the west halves of Sections 5, 8, 17, 20, 29 and 32, Township 13, East of the Coast Meridian, New Westminster Land District, and continuing northerly along the easterly bound aries of the west halves of Sections 5, 8, 17, 20 and 29, Township 14, East of the Coast Meridian, New Westminster Land District produced to the middle line of the mainstream of Fraser River; thence in a general southeasterly direction along said middle line of Fraser River passing to the north of Crescent and Matsqui Islands to the northerly prolongation of the centreline of Gladwin Road; thence southerly to and along the centreline of Gladwin Road produced to the centreline of Highway 1, being the point of commencement. (Population: 48 460) 3 Alberni - Qualicum The Alberni - Qualicum Electoral District is all that portion of the Province of British Columbia con tained within the following boundaries: Commencing at the northwest comer of Fractional Section 30, Township 2, Clayoquot Land District, being a point on the natural boundary of Nootka Sound; thence due West to a point on the southwesterly boundary of the Province of British Columbia; thence southeasterly along the said southwesterly boundary of the Province of British Columbia to a point lying due South of the southwest comer of District Lot 146, Renfrew Land District; thence due North to the southwest comer of said District Lot 146; thence northerly and easterly along the westerly and northerly boundaries of said District Lot 146 to the inter section of a southerly prolongation of the westerly boundary of District Lot 118, Renfrew Land District; thence northerly along said prolongation and continuing northerly along the westerly boundaries of District Lots 118 and 117, Renfrew Land District to the northwest comer of said District Lot 117; thence easterly along the northerly boundary of said District Lot 117 to the intersection with the easterly boundary of District Lot 168, Renfrew Land District; thence northerly along the easterly boundaries of District Lots 168, 215, 222 and 223, Renfrew Land District, to the northwest comer of District Lot 196, Renfrew Land District; thence easterly along the northerly boundaries of said District Lot 196 and continuing easterly along the northerly boundary of District Lot 195, Renfrew Land District to the northeast comer thereof; thence southerly along the easterly boundary of said District Lot 195 to a point lying due West of the most westerly northwest comer of District Lot 200, Renfrew Land District; thence due East to said westerly northwest comer of said District Lot 200; thence easterly and northeasterly along the northerly and northwesterly boundaries of said District Lot 200 to a point on the most northerly boundary of said District Lot 200 lying due South of the southwest comer of District Lot 680, Renfrew Land District; thence due North to said southwest comer; thence in a general easterly and general northerly direction along the southerly and easterly boundaries of said District Lot 680 to the northeast comer thereof, being a point on the westerly boundary of the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway Company Land Grant; thence northwesterly along said boundary to a point 4828.032 metres South, and 4991.179 metres East of the southeasterly comer of Special Timber Licence 42494; thence due West 4991.179 metres; thence due North 4828.032 metres to the southeasterly comer of aforesaid Special Timber Licence 42494; thence northerly along the easterly boundary of Special Timber Licence 42494 to the westerly boundary of the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway Company Land Grant; thence northwesterly along said westerly boundary to the southerly boundary of Section 15, Township 2, Cowichan Lake Land District; 2. 2000 Electoral Districts (Amendment) SBC Chap. 14 Schedule 2 thence easterly along the southerly boundary of said Section 15 to the northwest comer of Block 45, Cowichan Lake Land District; thence southerly and easterly along the westerly and southerly boundaries of said Block 45 to the westerly boundary of Section 42, Renfrew Land District (situated within Cowichan Lake Land District); thence southerly and easterly along the westerly and southerly boundaries of said Section 42 to the westerly boundary of Section 48, Renfrew Land District (situated within Cowichan Lake Land District); thence southerly, easterly and northerly along the westerly, southerly and easterly boundaries of said Section 48 to the most easterly northeast comer thereof, being a point on the natural boundary of Cowichan Lake; thence northeasterly in a straight line to the middle line of Shaw Creek at its mouth thereof; thence in a general northerly direction along the middle line of Shaw Creek and the said middle line to the inter section with the northerly boundary of the watershed of the streams flowing southerly into Cowichan Lake; thence northwesterly along said watershed boundary to the easterly boundary of Block 1313, Dunsmuir Land District; thence northerly and westerly along the easterly and northerly boundaries of Block 1313 to the easterly boundary of the watershed of Nitinat River; thence northerly along the said boundary to the southerly boundary of Block 1321, Dunsmuir Land District; thence westerly and northerly along the southerly and westerly boundary of said Block 1321 to the northerly boundary of the watershed of Nitinat River; thence westerly along said boundary to the southerly boundary of Block 1324, Albemi, Cameron and Dunsmuir Land Districts; thence westerly, northerly, easterly and southerly along the southerly, westerly, northerly
