JOB PURPOSE Under the supervision of the Cemetery Supervisor to carry out gravedigging tasks, plus other oassociated duties within the operation of the Cemeteries under the council control, including grass cutting, lawn reinstatement and scrub clearance as instructed. KEY RESULT AREAS 1. Manual digging and back filling of .

2. Preparation of graves and surrounding area for the arrival for undertakers.

3. General maintenance of the Cemetery site, including removing of mounds and topping up of graves, mowing and scrub clearance, showing undertakers to graveside ready for services, showing member of the public to plots, and planting and maintaining of flowers and shrubs.

4. Empathy and sympathetic communication with the members of public.

Ability to safely operate plant and equipment. 5.

To take reasonable care of own and others safety; to co-operate with managers and supervisors in complying with 6. statutory health and safety duties; to report incidents, accidents and faults.
