The School of Social Work in the Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work at Florida International University is seeking to fill three tenure-track positions at the ranks of Assistant and Associate Professor in the School of Social Work. The College includes eight units: School of Social Work, Biostatistics, Environmental Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Dietetics and Nutrition, as well the Academy for International Disaster Preparedness.

The School of Social Work offers BSSW, MSW, and PhD degrees. The faculty are committed to excellence in research, teaching and service, have substantial records of funded scholarship, and have national and international reputations. The positions offer a unique opportunity to research and educate at a minority/Hispanic-serving institution, where many of the students are first time in college and/or graduate school. The University, College, and School offer a diverse array of opportunities for interdisciplinary research collaborations and community-based research endeavors. The School is the leading social work program in South Florida, an area known for its diverse population and cultures. South Florida is an international hub for recreation, tourism, and transportation.

Responsibilities: Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active program of research through scholarly publications, external grant funding, and professional presentations; teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students; and participate in service activities.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD in Social Work or closely-related field and a record of funded research and peer-reviewed scholarly publications.
