How to use the orchidometer: Patients should be examined in a supine position to ensure an accurate mea - surement. The testis is lifted between the thumb and index finger, with the skin gently stretched over the testis. Move the testis with a slight pressure of the thumb and index finger of the other hand (fig. 1) to facilitate size assessment under the scrotal skin. The testis is then com - pared to its corresponding orchidometer model (fig. 2). If testicular size falls between two of the model sizes, the larger should be used.
