Sporting Schools is a $100 million Australian Government initiative set to be the nation’s largest -based participation program. The program aims to help children to foster a lifelong interest in sport and gain a healthier mind and body.

In partnership with more than 30 National Sporting The Australian Commission’s Playing for Life Organisations (NSOs), Sporting Schools assists in materials are now available online on the Sporting Schools providing the resources to help sporting clubs, website, and include links to: coaches and teachers to deliver sport before, during, >> curriculum content descriptions and after school hours. >> learning intentions Nationwide online registration is free for schools, skilled >> the skill focus for each activity NSO-endorsed coaches and identified sporting partners, The resources align with the National HPE Curriculum and funding is available to schools to link up with quality and can be used to assist in the delivery of: NSO-endorsed coaches to deliver the sporting programs >> health and physical education developed by the NSOs. >> short physical activities and classroom energisers Based on the Playing for Life philosophy, Sporting Schools >> lunchtime/break activities focuses on providing safe, fun and engaging activities that get all children involved, regardless of their level of ability.
