THE CLUB ESCOR GAZTEDI MIXED ABILITY RUGBY TEAM The project started and developed in collaboration with Down Araba Isabel Orbe Association We encourage Social and Sporting Inclusion for people with Disabilities. The Mixed Ability Rugby team is composed of more than 45 people with and without disability. The activities include: Sport aspects (training and matches) Social aspects. This one is essential for people´s Inclusion ACHIEVEMENTS IN SOCIAL INCLUSION THROUGH RUGBY Gaztedi Rugby Team has: Been awarded with The Spirit of Mixed Ability Trophy in the first Mixed Ability Rugby World Tournament MARWT 2015. Award that recognises Rugby and Inclusion values. Highly Commended in the Álava´s Sport Ceremony in 2015 Been one of the promoters and member of the Mixed Ability Rugby Clubs Network Hosted and taken part in the first and second State Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament ACHIEVEMENTS IN SOCIAL INCLUSION THROUGH RUGBY But above all what really makes us feel most proud, is that now every single person of the Gaztedi Rugby Team believes in, feels and spreads the real spirit of Inclusion. OBJECTIVES AND WORK AREAS FOR IMART 2017 Objectives Raise awareness and the encourage the participation of different abilities through social inclusion, equal opportunities and healthy lifestyle. Create new synergies between sport clubs, educational providers, communities and local organisations. Promote and spread Rugby values: teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportmanship. Contribute to a new sustainable model in which National and International Mixed Ability Sport events will become a new reality. Make this world a better place through Sport, Rugby and Education. WORK AREAS OF IMART 2017 Work Areas In order to achieve this objectives, there will be work in these three areas: Sport area, in which we can find all the sport activities of IMART 2017 Educational area, workshops, conference and educational training within IMART 2017 Social area, in which we will try to involve the whole society in IMART 2017 IMART 2017. TECHNICAL AND SPORT INFORMATION PARTICIPATING TEAMS AND EXPECTED DELEGATIONS Participating teams Expected Delegations To date, the following delegations have shown an interest in taking part: - Hong Kong - México - Canadá - USA - Francia - Colombia - España - Serbia We expect to continue receiving requests untill the start date of IMART 2017. EXPECTED ATTENDANCE. RULES, WORLD RUGBY LAWS IMART 2017 Organisation provides ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD to the participant teams and delegations up to 30 players per team or 5 participants per delegation; we expect: . 480 players . 50 delegates . 400 supporters . Media . Workshops participants . Spectators During the course of IMART 2017 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, World Rugby Laws will be the only ones to be followed with the exception of uncontested scums. The tournament will be refereed by national and international match officials with a wide experience in high level competitions. ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORT FOR PARTICIPANTS IMART 2017 Organisation provides ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD to participating teams and delegations: In order to ensure the best accommodation for participants, the Organisation has reached agreements with: Cathedral Hostel Diputation of Araba: Barria Hostel and Espejo Hostel Claretianos: Agurain Hostel Menesianos: Nanclares de la Oca facilities In order to provide transport to participants, the Organisation will provide the following transfers: Coaches from Airport to Accommodation Coaches from accommodation to Sports Facilities Inner City Buses valoración económica GAMES. The official matches are expected to be played on Tuesday 22, Thursday 24 and Friday 25. Wednesday 23 will be a day focused on the Educational area and the promotion of other sports and tourism within the Region. On Monday 21, Tuesday 22, Thursday 24 and Friday 25 there will be arranged meetings and workshops for anyone who might be interested in. *The Programme may be subject to change. This will rely on the number of people interested in taking part on it. VENUES Official matches The IMART 2017 tournament, will be hosted in the following venues: Playing fields:: Gamarra facilities, with a natural grass pitch. Betoño facilities, with 3 natural grass pitches. Other natural grass pitches around the area for the exhibition matches. Conference venues In order to hold formative seminars and educational activities, IMART 2017 in Vitoria-Gasteiz will have the following centres Europa conference centre Villa Suso conference centre VENUES. MEETING AND INFO POINT Meeting Point With the aim of involving Vitoria-Gasteiz citizens and share with them the spirit of IMART 2017, the Organization will place two Fan Zones in the following places: Betoño facilities Fueros Square The Meeting Points will welcome all the participants and visitors of IMART 2017. Also the City Centre of Vitoria-Gasteiz, with its wonderful and lively streets, will welcome you on daily activities and on the opening and closing ceremonies. ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE Organisation The IMART 2017´s Organisation is based on a project created by the Gaztedi Rugby Team. With the purpose of creating and developing that project, it has been created the World Rugby Tournament 2017 Association. Vitoria-Gasteiz, which will be responsible for the coordination and management of the whole project. We will also have the close support of local and provincial authorities, of Rugby Federations and of the whole team of volunteers of Gaztedi Rugby Team.
