Other­ wise, a mayor ends up being more of a politi­ cal boss than an elected public servant.” Aremellino, who is in his 14th consecutive year as mayor, said his experience is an as­ set. “I have given Matawan many years of service and I think I deserve to be reelected,” he said. “I’ve never been a polit­ ical boss.
