Canadian Express Line CANADIAN EXPRESS LINE HO SCALE CATALOGUE Dear Modeller, We hope you will enjoy browsing our current HO Scale Mail Order Catalogue. To help you we have provided a Table Of Contents (overleaf), which lists manufacturers in each Section of the Catalogue. To locate a particular item, use the “Find” command. However, there is also an Index at the end of the Catalogue, as an aid when using a hard copy. This indicates in which Section an item is to be found. The Catalogue is updated several times a year. Whilst we do our best to supply every item listed, availability is beyond our control and cannot be guaranteed. As to prices, we will not charge more than the listed price without first informing the customer of any increase. Our price, on items over $100 retail, is the manufacturer’s suggested price minus 20%, or better (indicated in red). For most of the U.S. manufacturers included, a more complete listing can be found in the Walthers HO Scale Reference Book. If you wish to order items from this book, please state the complete item number. We will charge at most the manufacturer’s suggested price. For US manufacturers, the retail price is currently calculated as 1.40 times the US retail. The easiest way to order is to E-mail a “wish list”. We will confirm the order and indicate if any problems are foreseen. Or, you may order using our supplied Order Form, or by ‘phone or ‘fax. We attempt to ship within four weeks of receipt of order. If items are delayed further we will keep you informed and give you the option of cancelling. New customers are asked to pre-pay with the order; subsequently we expect payment on receipt of a shipment. Payment may be by cheque, money order, Visa or MasterCard. Goodies are shipped by Expedited Parcel, but we will ship by Xpresspost on request, for $10 extra. We are required by law to collect the Goods and Services Tax from Canadian residents. Similarly, Quebec residents must remit the Quebec Sales Tax; New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia residents must remit the Harmonized Sales Tax. May 2019 Volume 24 Number 5 Helping Vendors Important to Success of 2019 Model Train Show The 28th Annual Tallahassee Model Train Show and Sale is only about a month away. The show is Saturday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Leon County Fairgrounds. Set-up is Friday, June 21, throughout the day. Excitement and momentum are high. Vendor registration is good, including several new sellers. The N Scale T-Traks will be the largest ever, including participation from several other clubs. Garth Easton also is introducing a Z Scale T-Trak layout. HO Coordinator Phil Weston and his folks have made gigantic progress on their T-Traks since the last show a year ago. The Large Scalers have some surprises and new T-Trak modules in the works as well. The Show Committee will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m., just before the regular BBMRA meeting. All club members are welcome to attend. BBMRA President Andy Zimmerman will lead a show discussion during the main meeting as well. The June 18 club meeting, which is the Tuesday before the show, will be devoted to last minute planning and preparations. Helping vendors unload and then pack up remains an important part of our activities plan and it is appreciated by many vendors. Sheldon Harrison is coordinating this activity again this year and we need participation from as many club members as possible. Sheldon will be arriving at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, June 21, when most vendors will begin coming in. Some BBMRA members will be setting up club layouts or their vendor tables Friday morning and you may be asked to spare a few minutes to help early bird vendors.

Canada ABSTRACT « Traditionally, international boundaries have been re• garded as barriers to the evolution of transportation networks. Numerous examples of the disruptive influence of borders on travel routes have been documented in the literature. Does such a pattern always occur? This thesis is concerned with a railnet which evolved in close proximity to an international boundary, but which for the most part appeared able to develop with little regard for the boundary as a barrier. This railnet is that of the Kootenay district of south• eastern British Columbia and the adjacent United States. An investigation is made of the major elements which best explain the nature of this network's evolution. They are discovered to include a rich natural resource endowment, rivalry between rail• way companies, and private and government decision makers, but not the international boundary.
