We hope to show “Jackie” starring Natalie Portman. The film follows Jackie Kennedy when she was First Lady in the White House and her life following the assassination of her husband. This will be a new release for the company we use and we have not yet had confirmation that we can have it. If we can’t, we will show another popular film. Page 17 NORTHWOLD VILLAGE HISTORY WEEKEND August 26th & 27th (August Bank Holiday)

We are planning a Village History event to take place over the weekend of August 26th and 27th. There will be displays of old photographs, anecdotes and stories, videos and recordings of past events in the village. There will also be displays relating to shops and businesses of the past, histories of the village hall, school, sports clubs and places of worship. The information about those remembered on our War Memorial has been updated but we are still searching for photographs of some of the men, can you or any member of your family help? The weekend will end with a family service in St Andrew’s Church to remember and pay tribute to those who have lived in our village and are now buried here. The names of those who have been buried here over the past forty or fifty years will be read out during the course of the service. Do you have any stories or information relating to the village or past inhabitants that could be included in our weekend? We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is interested in this event or who may be able to help us, any photographs or documents can be copied and the originals returned immediately. We are interest- ed in everything relating to our village and look forward to hearing from you.
