• UNDER 100 POINTS: The Cavs have held teams under 100 points on 7 occasions this season.

• LOWER THAN .450 FG%: The defense has limited opponents to under .450 shooting from the field 17 times so far.

• CLEAN PLAY: The Cavs currently commit the 2nd-lowest amount of fouls in the NBA at 18.4 per game.

• 10+ STEALS: The Cavs have recorded at least 10 steals on 6 occasions this season. From Nov. 8-14, Cleveland had notched 10 steals in 4 straight games, their longest stretch with double-digit steals since November 2012 (11/9/12-11/17/12, four games). • BACK-TO-BACK WIRE-TO-WIRE VICTORIES: Cleveland’s defense helped them pick up consecutive wire-to-wire road wins over the (113-100 on Nov. 8) and New York Knicks (108-87 on Nov. 10). The last time the Cavs posted consecutive wire-to-wire victories was back in December 2008 (12/6/08- 12/9/08). In the win at MSG, Cleveland’s defense held the Knicks to an opponent season-low .360 (31-86) shooting from the field.

• WHAT A COMEBACK: In a 113-108 victory at Washington on Feb. 21, the Cavs overcame a 16-point deficit, their largest come-from-behind win since April 5, 2018 which was also against the Wizards (trailed by 17 to win 119-115).

SHARING THE SCORING LOAD: The Cavaliers have had at least six players score in double figures in a game on 18 occasions this season, including seven players with 10+ points three times (Nov. 8 at WAS, Jan. 5 at OKC and Feb. 21 at WAS).

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Thompson is the FIRST player in Cavaliers history to tally at least 35 points, 14 rebounds, three blocks and a .750 FG%. The last NBA player before Thompson to reach those marks was Utah’s Rudy Gobert on March 22, 2017 against New York (35 PTS, 15 REB, 4 BLK, .867 FG%).

• MONSTER ON THE GLASS: Against New York on Jan. 20, TRISTAN THOMPSON tallied 13 points, a career-high 22 rebounds (10 offensive), one steal and one block in 35 minutes. It was the fifth time in his career he has hit the 20+ rebound mark and first time since Nov. 24, 2018 vs. Houston (20 rebounds). Thompson became just the second player ever to have 22+ rebounds at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (Anderson Varejao did it twice with 25 rebounds on Jan. 2, 2014 vs. ORL and 23 rebounds on Oct. 30, 2012 vs. WAS).

• MAJOR BENCH WORK: Against the Hawks on Feb. 12, Thompson became the first Cavs bench player with at least 27 points and 11 rebounds in a game since Melvin Turpin (32 PTS, 13 REB) versus New York on March 11, 1986. Thompson also shot a career-high 3-3 (1.000) from beyond the arc that night.

CHARGE COMPLETE SEASON SWEEP IN DELAWARE WILMINGTON, DE – The Canton Charge (23-13) used a huge mid-game run to down the (19-16), 131-115, at the 76ers Fieldhouse on Friday night and complete a three-game season series sweep.

Trailing 56-55 and 3:44 left in the first half, Canton finished on a 12-2 run to surge ahead at the break 67-58. The run continued after the half with the Charge rolling out a 14-3 run to begin the third and take their largest lead of the game at 81-61, an advantage they would never relinquish as the hosts never again got within single digits. Dean Wade scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting in the third for the second-best scoring quarter for a Canton individual so far this season.

Wade led the Charge with 27 points on 11-of-16 from the floor and 4-of-7 from three with 16 rebounds in 36 minutes. Sir’Dominic Pointer scored a season-high 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting with five rebounds and four blocks 26 minutes. Sheldon Mac came off the bench to add 23 points on 9-of-9 from the foul line with five boards and four assists in 33 minutes. Malik Newman celebrated his 23rd birthday with an outing of 18 points, nine assists and six boards in 36 minutes. Matt Mooney also had 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes.

Seven Delaware players scored in double figures, led by Justin Robinson’s 22 points in 32 minutes. Haywood Highsmith added 18 points and nine rebounds in 34 minutes.

Former OSU great and NBA player Brad Sellers is back for his ninth year as postgame studio analyst.

Each broadcast on the Cavaliers Radio Network begins with “Huntington Tip-Off Show,” an inside look at the upcoming game. Hosted by Snyder, the show airs 30 minutes prior to game time. It is a comprehensive look at what is happening around the NBA, including interviews, highlights, game reports, injury updates and a preview of the Cavaliers game with Tim Alcorn while Jim Chones provides his Keys to the Game.

Following each game broadcast, fans can participate in the “Tito’s Nightcap Recap” postgame call-in show. THE CAVALIERS ON LA MEGA 87.7 FM: Veteran broadcaster Rafael Hernández-Brito, known as Rafa "El Alcalde" (“The Mayor”), returns for his sixth season of bringing his high-energy play-by-play style to each of his Cleveland Cavaliers broadcasts. Prior to joining the Cavs, Rafa was the Spanish voice of Brooklyn Nets games for the franchise’s first two seasons. He also was the voice of the New Jersey Nets from 1997 to 2001 and called the action for St. John’s University men’s basketball during that same period. In 2018, Rafa became the first Spanish voice of the Cleveland Browns.

Nationally, his broadcasting experience includes eight years as the voice of NFL football for Spanish broadcasts of Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, the playoffs and Superbowl on Univision from 2005 to 2013. Hernández-Brito, who has worked 11 Super Bowls, was also the Spanish play-by-play voice of the Miami Dolphins and has handled the play-by-play for Major League Baseball, boxing and UFC. Rafa additionally covered the Soccer World Cups from 1998 to 2014. With the 2015 NBA Finals, he became the first broadcaster in the United States to call the Finals of all 3 major sports in Spanish. Rafa has been the Public Address Announcer and voice of legendary Azteca Stadium in Mexico City for NFL Mexico games since 2016. In March of 2017, he became the first broadcaster to call the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four in Spanish for Westwood One.

Rafa finished high school at Locust Valley, N.Y. He went on to earn a degree in mechanical engineering at Boston University, followed by a successful run working for Coors Brewing Co., where his buoyant personality made him a natural in sales and marketing. Nonetheless, he chose to follow his passion for sports and broadcasting.

Hernández-Brito served as sports director at Univision Radio from 2005 to 2013, where he was also the host/ringleader of “Locura Deportiva”, Univision Radio’s most successful sports program, presiding over candid, colorful, often comical discussions on the topics of the day as “El Alcalde” (“The Mayor”). He was also the creator and longtime host of “El Garaje de AutoZone,” a Saturday morning automotive show perhaps best described as a Spanish-language version of the immensely popular NPR program “Car Talk."

Rafa’s path to the booth is an American dream. Today, he has a daily syndicated radio sports show airing in the US and Latin America, is the cohost of the Emmy-award winning show “Cavs HQ” on Fox Sports Ohio and also served as the executive producer of the popular podcast “Road Trippin’ with RJ and Channing.”
