FINAL CHECKS AND PROTESTS 12.16 Final checks (correction) The final scrutineering will take place on Sunday 28th October 2018 at 16.00hrs APPENDIX 7 – NATIONAL CARS (correction) Following Art. 4.4 from 2018 FIA WRC ... 2018 WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP SPORTING REGULATIONS Modification Art. 20.1.5 On a road section that is a public road and at the start of a Special Stage, a competition car may only be driven on four freely rotating wheels and tyres. Any infringements will be reported to the Stewards who may impose a penalty up to disqualification. Modification Art. 65.1.2 The competitor of any car which carries an on-board camera must have the prior agreement of the Promoter. Authorised cameras will be identified by an adhesive decal and must be mounted in the car at the time of scrutineering. The on-board camera system as fitted must be approved by the scrutineers. Camera devices not supplied by WRC Promoter: only stand- alone devices are allowed. No connection to data logging or ECU or homologated sensors / actuators is allowed.     Hyundai Motorsport targets titles in 2019 FIA World Rally Championship Hyundai Motorsport has outlined its ambitions to compete for the FIA World Rally Championship manufacturers’ and drivers’ titles in 2019 Revised crew line-up sees Thierry Neuville and Andreas Mikkelsen tackle the complete season with Dani Sordo scheduled for eight rounds and Sébastien Loeb for six. Under new Team Director Andrea Adamo, Hyundai Motorsport will contest its most comprehensive season in WRC to date with 14 rounds, including a new event in Chile. Birmingham, UK January 11, 2019 – On the eve of the official WRC season launch at the Autosport International show, Hyundai Motorsport has outlined its intentions to compete once again at the very forefront of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), with its sights set firmly on the manufacturers’ and drivers’ titles. The team finished as runners-up in 2018, for the third time in a row, having taken the title fight down to the wire. In one of the closest, most hotly contested seasons in recent years, a three-way battle was only concluded at the season finale in Australia. Running a revised crew line-up and with an extended calendar of 14 rounds in 2019, Hyundai Motorsport will aim to revisit the competitive form that helped it score three victories and 11 podium finishes last season. With WRC’s regulations remaining stable, the team has been able to evolve the technical foundations of its rally winning Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. All aspects of the car have been rigorously assessed in order to perform consistently across all terrains in the coming season.

    2021 MEDIA GUIDE Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 ROUND 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 HYUNDAI’S HELLO Given the freezing temperatures outside, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Arctic Rally Finland and for the first of what we hope will be two visits by the WRC and Hyundai Motorsport to the country in 2021. Before I underline the team’s hopes and expectations for this event, I wish to acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into putting on this rally in such a short amount of time. The efforts of AKK Sports and all the volunteers, particularly in the context of COVID-19, has really impressed me so a big thank you to them. It’s fair to say we showed our limits on Rallye Monte-Carlo and found ourselves licking our wounds and trying to get ahead. Unfortunately, it didn’t work there and after making some changes to our approach we start the second round of the season hoping it will be much better than the first. Having wished a fond farewell to Carlos del Barrio after Monte as he prepared for the next chapter of his career, we are pleased to welcome back Craig and Paul for the start of their half-season campaign in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. We know very well their ability and determination as they try to make a strong start to their season. As well as our regular World Rally Car drivers, we are giving a big chance to a really promising youngster, Oliver Solberg.

    MEDIA INFORMATION 2018 FIA World Rally Championship Round 12: RallyRACC Catalunya – Rally de España Michelin’s range and people play key role in Catalonia tyre strategies This year’s RallyRACC Catalunya turned out to be colder and wetter than the recent Wales Rally GB, which is certainly saying something! Action kicked off with a super-special in the streets of Barcelona on Thursday evening before crews returned to the service park in Salou, some 80km south of Catalonia’s capital. Spain’s round is the only mixed-surface fixture of the FIA World Rally Championship, with Friday’s leg an all-gravel affair followed by two days on asphalt on Saturday and Sunday. This specificity means teams need to change the configuration of their respective cars on Friday evening, since the suspension parts, transmission systems and settings they use are different for sealed-surfaces. To cover the weekend’s unique mix of surface and weather conditions, Michelin’s partners were able to choose between two distinct tyre ranges, namely the H5 (hard compound) and S6 (soft) versions of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport for the asphalt stages, plus the MICHELIN LTX Force H4 (hard) and MICHELIN LTX Force M6 (medium) for the day on dirt. Meanwhile, the French firm’s WRC2 competitors had a choice between the RH3 (hard) and RS (soft) versions of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport asphalt tyre, and between the MICHELIN Latitude Cross H90 (hard) and S80 (soft) for gravel. When heavy rain swept over the region on Saturday, crews also had the option to fit the MICHELIN Pilot Sport FW3, the specific tread pattern, high ‘sea-to-land’ tread block ratio and oblique lateral water-clearance grooves of which are designed to combine performance on wet roads with resistance to aquaplaning.

    Motorsport Information FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), Rally Portugal Rally Portugal: Third win of the season for Volkswagen’s Ogier Wolfsburg (14 April 2013). Triumph on the Algarve, two Volkswagen drivers on the podium: Sébastien Ogier and co-driver Julien Ingrassia (F/F) have won the Rally Portugal ahead of Mikko Hirvonen (Citroën) and their Volkswagen team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila (FIN/FIN). Under the watchful eye of Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg (Member of the Board of Management for the Volkswagen brand), Andreas Mikkelsen and Mikko Markkula (N/FIN) completed a very good team performance for Volkswagen with sixth place on their competitive debut in the Polo R WRC. “It was great to be present at such a magnificent success,” said Dr. Hackenberg, who is responsible for technical development. “I was very impressed by the manner in which the team earned this success, and how delighted they were by it. It is just fantastic to see how well the entire team is working together. This provides great backing for our drivers, who did an extraordinary job.” The fine team performance at the fourth round of this season’s FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) sees Volkswagen move to the top of the Manufacturers’ Championship. Sébastien Ogier also extended his lead in the Drivers’ Championship, courtesy of his third win of the season. A test of technology: both man and machine pushed to the limit The second gravel rally of the season really put man and machine to the test. The conditions, with narrow, winding passages on rough, stony surfaces alternating with fast sections taken at full throttle, were the toughest encountered so far this season.
