Multiple communities are threatened by the fire, including: Lower Coffee Creek, Upper Coffee Creek, Callahan, South Scott Valley, Eagle Creek, and Carrville, the structures in the Coffee Creek and Highway 3 corridor in the area of Coffee Creek are threatened by the eastward progression of the fire. Several private inholdings including cabins within the Trinity Alps Wilderness.

12 hours: A multitude of pre-historic Native American habitation and burial sites may be impacted.

USFS timber sales, recently sold and unsold timber holdings, high value private timber holdings within 1 mile of the current fire perimeter, and grazing allotments are threatened which are closely associated with the local economy, jobs, and the local population. efforts, including Coho and Chinook salmonids, northern spotted owl, Pacific fisher, American martin, goshawk, peregrine falcon, and a small, but expanding Roosevelt elk herd, as well as California lady slipper (Cypripedium californicum), Pacific fuzz wort (Ptilidium californicum), and a multitude of rare fungi. The worlds largest Incense Cedar tree, and rust resistant Sugar Pine progeny site. Duck Lakes Botanical Special Interest Area, which has the richest diversity of conifer species in California, including the only known population of Subalpine Fir in the state and one of two known populations of Engelmann Spruce, is adjacent to uncontained fire edge on the eastern portion of the fire.

Historic sites including intact log cabins, mining structures, other wooden structures and cemeteries exist within the fire area.

Local drinking water supplies. The drinking water storage exclusively for Trinity Center is partially a wooden structure and would leave the community without drinking water if damaged.

Local micro-hydroelectric facilities, and Siskiyou Telephone facilities and infrastructure are threatened.

Silting of rivers from runoff of fire scar areas also effect local fisheries and other aquatic wildlife.

Eastward progression of the fire could still impact infrastructure, private timber stands, and communities along the highway 3 corridor, including Coffee Creek, Carrville, and Trinity Center.

Continued forest closure during deer hunting season impacts the local economy, as will forest closures that have the potential to overlap steelhead and salmon season. 24 hours: Weather will continue to minimize, but not eliminate the potential impact of fire to values at risk noted at 12 hour. 48 hours: Weather will be favorable for continued suppression efforts.
