Built on the Linux 2.4 kernel, Workstation features a completely self-hosted environment, KDE 2.1, glibc 2.2.1, and XFree86 4.0.2. In addition, it incorporates SUN(r) Microsystems Java(tm) 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE() Software Development Kit version 1.3, StarOffice(tm) 5.2 and Forte(tm) for Java(, release 2.0, and JBuilder(tm) 4 Foundation from Borland(r).
