Alhamdulillah syukur ke hadrat Ilahi kerana dengan limpah dan kurniaNya dapat kita semua, warga UniMAP berkumpul pada pagi ini untuk bersama-sama dalam Program Gotong Royong Mega ke 2 ini disamping mengeratkan hubungan silaturrahim sesama kita. Setinggi-tinggi terima kasih saya ucapkan kepada anda semua kerana dapat meluangkan waktu untuk kita menceriakan kampus yang kita sayangi ini. Unit Media PNC Basri edited Dr Zainab 3 SEKSYEN BAHASA INGGERIS Ladies and Gentlemen, The moment that we are waiting for is getting closer, that is the 3rd March 2013, where we will be witnessing our Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak who will be officiating our permanent campus at Pauh Putra in conjunction with the working visit to the state of Perlis. The Honourable Prime Minister will be presenting the 1Malaysia Book Voucher besides officiating the 1Malaysia Programme for Youth (IM4U). We are all proud and honoured when our Honourable Prime Minister has kindly consented to officiate our Campus Pauh Putra which is a historical event for UniMAP. Several agendas have been lined up for this momentous occasion such as the R&D exhibitions, assembly of our uniform bodies and the cultural performances. The ceremony will also be witnessed by the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Mohd Khaled Nordin, and the Chief Minister of Perlis Datuk Seri Dr. Md Isa Sabu. I would like to appeal to all staff and students of UniMAP to please attend and witness this momentous occasion. In conjunction with this ceremony PIPPT will be organizing the entrepreneurship programme ( Program Gerak Usahawan, PGU) which will be held from 1- 3 March 2013 at the Dataran Dato’ Sheikh Ahmad, Kangar from 8.30 am until 10.30 pm. I would like to urge all staff and students to attend this proramme and please channel this information to all students on the technopreneurship programme. A number of activities will be held, amongst which are the Exhibition, such as Forum Unit Media PNC Basri edited Dr Zainab 4 on Technopreneurship, Lectures by successful technopreneur, debate and competition on culture performance and Corporate Career Fair which will involve 60 different corporate companies nationally. Hadirin sekalian Program Gerak Usahawan (PGU) Institut Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) 2013 1. Dalam kesibukan kita bertungkus lumus menyiapkan Kampus Pauh Putra ini, satu lagi program anjuran UniMAP dan Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi iaitu Program Gerak Usahawan (PGU) Institut Pengajian Tinggi (IPT) 2013 yang akan berlangsung pada 1-3 Mac ini di Dataran Dato’ Sheikh Ahmad Kangar Perlis 2. PGU IPT merupakan program peringkat kebangsaan buat kali ketiga bertemakan ”Mencetus Idea, Memacu Inovasi”. Saya difahamkan pelbagai aktiviti akan diadakan pada program tersebut antaranya Pameran, Forum Perdana Teknousahawanan, Ceramah daripada Usahawan yang berjaya, Pidato Teknousahawanan dan Pertandingan Persembahan Kebudayaan dan juga Corporate Career Fair yang melibatkan 60 buah syarikat korporat seluruh negara. Unit Media PNC Basri edited Dr Zainab 5 3. Saya menyeru kepada semua pensyarah agar dapat menguar – uarkan mengenai program ini kepada pelajar. Hal ini kerana ia dapat meningkatkan minat kepada para pelajar untuk menceburi bidang menceburi bidang keusahawan dengan pendedahan dari syarikat – syarikat korporat yang bertaraf multinasional. 4. Saya percaya program ini akan dapat membantu melahirkan usahawan baru yang bermotivasi tinggi, kreatif, inovatif dan proaktif serta berdaya tahan, berdaya saing dan berdaya maju dalam menggerakkan bidang industri, perdagangan, perniagaan ke arah kecemerlangan. Selain itu ia juga mampu memupuk semangat berdikari dan kental diri dikalangan pelajar-pelajar pada masa akan datang. Hadirin sekalian Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2013 5. Saya tidak ingin bercakap panjang pada pagi ini, kerana kita akan memulakan aktiviti gotong royong sebentar lagi. Di sini saya ingin mengambil kesempatan untuk mengucapkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah kepada para penyelidik yang menyertai Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) 2013 di atas kejayaan mereka meraih kejayaan 100 peratus sekaligus mengekalkan pencapaian yang diraihnya pada MTE 2012 tahun lalu. 6. Dengan kutipan sebanyak tujuh pingat emas, 10 perak dan 10 gangsa, kita juga turut mencipta kejayaan manis apabila dua Unit Media PNC Basri edited Dr Zainab 6 produk berjaya merangkul Anugerah Terbaik (The Best Award). Produk pertama adalah hasil penyelidikan Prof. Dr. Syed Alwee Aljunid Syed Junid dan kumpulannya iaitu Hamza M. R. Al – Khafaji, Dr. Hilal A. Fadhil, IR Dr. Anuar Mat Safar, Mohd Rashidi Che Beson dan Amir Razif Jamil Abdullah yang bertajuk A Novel Single Photodiode Detection (SPD) Technique For Optical Code Division Multiple Access Network Application. 7. Manakala produk kedua adalah Web – Based Mobile Olfaction System For Detecting And Monitoring Hazardous Volatile Compounds hasil penyelidikan Abu Hassan Abdullah dan kumpulannya iaitu Prof. Dr. Ali Yeon Md Shakaff, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid Adom, Ammar Zakaria, Fathinul Syahir Ahmad Saad, Kamarulzaman Kamarudin, Syed Muhammad Mumduh Syed Zakaria dan Mohd Al – Haffiz Saad. 8. Saya berharap agar kemenangan ini akan menjadi pembuka tirai dan pembakar semangat untuk kita meraih lebih banyak anugerah untuk 2013 ini. PENUTUP 9.     New Perlis MB gets a rousing welcome Malaysiakini.com Mar 17, 2008 Nash Rahman A strong crowd of about 5,000 people this morning gathered in the Perlis state capital of Kangar to welcome the menteri besar designate Dr Md Isa Sabu, who had just returned from Putrajaya. MCPX md isa sabu and supporters in perlis 170308The Bintong state representative was later sworn in as the state’s menteri besar, replacing Tambun Tulang state assemblyperson Shahidan Kassim who has held the post since 1995. A tag-of-war for the post has been ongoing between Shahidan and the Perlis-palace backed Md Isa after the general election in which BN won 14 out of 15 state seats. Eight of the 14 BN state backbenchers have also given their support to Md Isa while Shahidan had a letter of appointment from BN chairperson Abdullah Ahmad Badawi supporting his appointment. It is now believed that Abdullah, also the prime minister, has agreed with the decision of Raja of Perlis to choose Md Isa as the new menteri besar following a meeting with the ruler. Md Isa and the eight BN state representatives were in Putrajaya yesterday after being summoned for an audience by the Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail at Istana Siraj. They also met Abdullah in Putrajaya. Penubuhan Wangsa Raja-raja Jamalullail di Perlis telah dipelopori oleh Syed Harun Ibni Syed Ahmad Jamalullail. Beliau adalah pembuka Mukim Arau dan dianugerahkan pangkat sebagai penghulunya yang pertama pada tahun 1798 oleh Sultan Dhiauddin Mukarram Shah II, Raja Muda Kayang dan Sultan Kedah kedua puluh satu. Selepas tahun 1839, anakanda Syed Harun yang menjadi Penghulu Arau yang kedua telah diperakukan oleh orang- orang Melayu Perlis sebagai raja mereka. Walau bagaimanapun baginda hanya ditabalkan menjadi Raja Perlis pertama oleh Raja Rama III pada tahun 1843. Raja Syed Hussein Ibni Syed Harun memerintah dari tahun 1843 sehingga tahun 1873. Takhta Kerajaan Perlis seterusnya diwarisi oleh Raja Syed Ahmad Ibni Syed Hussein Jamalullail dari tahun 1873 sehingga tahun 1897 sebagai Raja Perlis kedua. Raja Perlis ketiga adalah Raja Syed Safi Bin Syed Alwi Jamalullail. Baginda yang merupakan cucunda Raja Syed Ahmad telah memerintah mulai tahun 1897 sehingga tahun 1904. Raja Syed Safi digantikan oleh anakanda baginda, Raja Syed Alwi Jamalullail. Raja Perlis kelima ini menaiki takhta Kerajaan Perlis dari tahun 1905 sehingga tahun 1943. Akibat ketiadaan zuriat, cucunda saudara Raja Syed Alwi iaitu Syed Putra Ibni Syed Hassan Jamalullail telah dilantik sebagai Bakal Raja Perlis.

Najib turns 58 today. He was born on July 23, 1953. Present were Perlis Menteri Besar Dr Md Isa Sabu, Kedah Umno liaison commitee chairman Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah, Kedah and Perlis Barisan Nasional component party leaders and about 2,000 people. Subsequently, those present sang a birthday song for Najib who then cut a two-tiered "pulut kuning" cake. After the ceremony, the prime minister, his wife and entourage left for Perlis to begin his working visit. The prime minister's first programme in Perlis was a walkabout at the "nat" market or day market in Balai Baru, Beseri, near Kangar. Najib, accompanied Md Isa, spent about half-an-hour mingling with traders and the public. Packed schedule He then dropped by for a tea at a stall operated by Jamil Salleh, 62, before proceeding to Istana Arau for an audience with the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail, and Raja Perempuan of Perlis Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid. Najib, who returned home yesterday from a visit to Turkmenistan, United Kingdom and Italy, wasted no time in going to the ground to meet the grassroots. A packed schedule awaits the prime minister in Perlis where his is scheduled to join 10,000 people for a feast at Dewan 2020 and later meet BN component party leaders. Dalam pilihan raya tersebut Barisan Nasional (BN) telah kehilangan majoriti simbolik dua-pertiga Parlimen. Dalam pada itu, parti-parti pembangkang secara kolektifnya berjaya mengawal dewan undangan negeri di lima buah negeri. Pada masa lalu, pilihan raya di Malaysia menjadi satu urusan yang terjangka dengan adanya capaian mudah BN kepada media, wang dan jentera kerajaan. Media cetak Malaysia memberi liputan positif dan menyeluruh kepada Barisan Nasional dalam tempoh sebelum hari mengundi. Bagaimana pula media cetak menjelaskan dan mentafsir keputusan pilihan raya yang tidak terjangka ini – teruk kepada BN mengikut piawaian politik Malaysia? Makalah ini membincangkan bagaimana media membingkaikan keputusan pilihan raya, faktor yang membawa kepada keputusan tersebut, serta mencari makna kepada persekitaran politik Malaysia. Kajian ini penting kerana media massa memainkan peranan penting dalam menentukan kerangka rujukan yang digunakan oleh pembaca untuk menafsirkan sesuatu kejadian atau isu. Makalah ini membincang pembingkaian keputusan Pilihan Raya Umum 2008 oleh akhbar bahasa Inggeris. Kutipan data melibatkan tiga akhbar bahasa Inggeris di Malaysia dengan analisis ke atas berita dan komentar, termasuk berita, rencana, lidah pengarang dan surat kepada editor dari hari mengundi pada 8hb Mac sehingga kepada hari pembentukan Kabinet baru Malaysia. Nama ketiga disebut-sebut sebagai langkah "jalan tengah" demi meredakan ketegangan antara dua pihak. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendistribusian Bantuan Covid-19 Kerajaan Perlis Pada Masyarakat Kampung Kolam Padang Besar Menurut Perspektif Ekonomi Syariah. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan di Kampung Kolam Padang Besar, Kerajaan Perlis, Malaysia. Sebagai informan penelitian adalah Jabatan Ketua Kampung Kolam dan semua perangkatnya. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa; Pendistribusian Bantuan Covid-19 di Kerajaan Perlis khususnya Kampung Kolam Padang Besar didasari oleh aturan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) yang dikeluarkan oleh Perdana Menteri Malaysia dengan ketentuan bantuan yakni Bantuan Asas kepada masyarakat ekonomi menengah ke bawah (B40 dan M40), bantuan kesehatan dalam bentuk bantuan masker serta alat bantu pernapasan, serta bantuan ekonomi bagi masyarakat yang terdampak PHK dalam bentuk mesin jahit. The former Public Complaints Bureau (PCB) deputy director-general won the Pauh state seat in the 13th general election (GE13) when he defeated PAS Ulama Council chief Idris Yaacob with a majority of 1,382 votes. Azlan who has 30 years experience in administration including foreign relations holds a Master's degree in International Economics from the University of Denver, United States of America (USA). He began his career as an Administrative and Diplomatic officer (PTD) in 1983 and was the Malaysian Consul in Toronto, Canada in 1985 before becoming the chief assistant secretary in the Foreign Minister in 1992 apart from being made Malaysia's Permanent Mission Counsellor to the United Nations in USA in 1999. In 2003, Azlan was made secretary of Africa and South Sahara division in the Foreign Minister and in 2011 he held the post of PCB deputy director-general until his retirement to contest in the 13th General Election on May 5.
