That’s how! And boy did we do that. The ball on 29th September was a great example of how well we all scrub up, men in their DJs and ladies in elegant frocks and didn’t we all look amazing. Many thanks to the craft club for making the table decorations which looked just right. The night began with a welcome from our chairman followed by a few words about some of our events and We had chosen Elland Road to tie in achievements over the last the last 25 with it being 25 years since Leeds years from yours truly. United won the 1st division championship (the last team to do so before the Premier League arrived.) The venue couldn’t have been better - I’m pretty sure it’s not often people ask for a purple and black theme. 5 After a scrumptious dinner we were fortunate enough to hear from Gary MacAllister about his memories of winning that historic title. I was privileged to be sat with Gary for dinner - he’s a charming and erudite man with a lovely sense of humour. The DJ then began to play from his 1992 playlist and we danced the night away. I hope all of you who attended enjoyed the evening as much as I did. There are a few people I must say thank you to: 1. Dawn Lennie who put in hours of organisation. 2.
