Bob Hall's great breakfast runs, our 9 Autocrosses; more of Greg Chamber's "Artisan" wine tours, car corrals for the Wine Country Classics and Grand AM/IRL races at Infineon Raceway, our overnight tours to Eureka and Mendocino, PCA Escape #4 in Albuquerque, NM and the list goes on! Look for several "special" surprise events that are in the works as well. More details will follow in the upcoming months! Again...I want to thank the members of the Redwood Region for their participation in the events of 2007. Our members are the heart and soul of this group and we try to accommodate all of your wishes for events! If you would like to suggest a new event, please let me know! I'd like to welcome Bret Boutet as our new Membership Chairman. He spent a day with Dave and LaVonne Benson learning all the nuances of this very important job and will be a welcome addition to our Board of Directors. -

Refunds will be as specified in the Supplementary Regulations should you be unable to compete at the event. If you have to cancel an entry, please advise the Competition Secretary as soon as possible. Entries will not be acknowledged unless an email requesting such is sent to: [email protected] Please note that scrutineering on both Saturday and Sunday will start at 8.15 a.m. and that first practice runs will start at 9.00 a.m. on both days. Competitors must be on site by 8.00 a.m. as the competitor’s entry gate is part of the track. Due to the large public attendance and the various displays it is necessary to operate to a tight time table so early arrival is essential if you wish time to walk the hill then attend the competitors briefing. The paddock is accessible from 12pm onwards on Friday 31st August to allow you to drop off your vehicle and trailer. -

On 17 November the JAF Grand Prix Fuji Sprint Cup him to cross the arrival line 4th. O Candidato Lisboa, 31 de outubro de 2019 RESUMO A presente dissertação tem como tema “Microcarros Europeus – Design e Mobilidade sustentável”. O principal objetivo deste trabalho traduz-se na construção de uma leitura sistematizada do projeto e implementação de microcarros europeus ao longo do século XX, tendo em vista não só o esclarecimento/definição do próprio conceito, mas também a perceção do seu papel atual e futuro a nível da mobilidade urbana sustentável. Neste sentido, percorrem-se dimensões como o design específico dos veículos, antecessores, autores e empresas envolvidas, assim como o contexto socioeconómico inerente. Como metodologia, realizou-se uma pesquisa exaustiva em fontes bibliográficas e fontes on-line, para além de contactos diretos com colecionadores e especialistas na temática, através de fóruns de debate e participação em encontros e mostras nacionais. Os microcarros consistem em veículos motorizados, que surgiram na Europa após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, num contexto de escassez de recursos económicos, energéticos e de materiais de produção. -

IN TOUCH THE OFFICIAL MAGAZINE OF DUNLOP MOTORSPORT [ www.injection.tv ] LE MANS RACE EDITION Dunlop came away from the Le Mans 24 hours delighted with the performance of its dry and light wet tyres after a difficult race in which the changing condi- tions contributed to the overall result. “We were pretty competitive in all conditions other than full wet conditions,” says Dunlop’s chief tyre technician Matthew Simpson of the LMP2 tyres. “On the slick tyres and the light wet tyres, we had a performance advantage, but in full wet conditions we struggled to get temperature into our compounds. The Essex car had engine trouble so we were never going to do better than we did, but we have to look at the tyre perform- ance in wet conditions and make it better. “The Virgo Ferrari team were very strong and our development construction at the rear allowed us to double stint safely. There was no sign of difficulty in doing so, and there was zero deterioration from the first lap to the last in a double stint, according to the drivers.
