Sunday Sports Celebration Lector Jamie Edmonds Jamie Edmonds is the Sports Anchor and Reporter at WDIV-TV in Detroit covering all of the major professional teams: Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings as well as the colleges and university teams in the state. She was drafted by Local 4 sports in January 2013 and anchors sports coverage Saturdays at 6 and 11, on Sunday at 6 in addition to hosting Sports Final Edition. Prior to coming to Detroit she spent several years at stations in both Flint and Lansing. She is a former competitive figure skater and played high school hockey in her hometown of Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in English, Journalism from the University of Delaware and a MS in Journalism, Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University. Lector Lomas Brown One of the Detroit Lions’ and the NFL’s premier offensive tackles, Lomas Brown was an All-American with the Florida Gators and was a first round selection for the Lions in the 1985 NFL Draft. He played for Detroit for 11 seasons and then went on to play for the Arizona Cardinals, the Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with whom he won a Super Bowl in 2002. In Detroit, he was a pivotal piece on the offensive line that blocked for perhaps the greatest running back of all-time, Barry Sanders. Since his retirement, Lomas has spent time with the NFL Network and ESPN News as an analyst. He also is a co-host for the Detroit Lions pre-game show during home games. Lomas also donates a great deal of time, energy and money to charitable causes throughout the Metro Detroit Area.
