A relevant literature study ISSN 0974-7907 (Online) (Clarke 1883; Cooke 1908; Biju ISSN 0974-7893 (Print) Pramod R. Lawand 1 , Rajaram V. Gurav 2 & 1997) revealed that the species PLATINUM Vinod B. Stem older semi-woody, outer, glabrous inside, outer sepal purple margined, inner young purple, strigose-villous, hairy, terete. Leaves hyaline on margins. Corolla funnel form, pink-purple, simple, alternate, 7–11 × 3–6 cm, base cordate, apex 4–5 cm long × 4–5 cm wide, hairy outer on midpetaline acute, strigose on both the surfaces, secondary veins 6–7 bands, throat purple ca. 1 cm wide, corolla lobes twisted pairs, conspicuous below; petole 2–4 cm long, dorsally in bud and shortly apiculate in fower. Stamens 5, grooved, purple in colour, hairy like stem. Inforescence inserted in corolla tube, unequal in length, 2.5–3.5 cm a compact 4–9 fowered cyme; peduncle 6–12 cm long, long, flaments pink, dilated and glandular hairy at base, longer than the petole, purple coloured, terete, hairy anthers basifxed, pale pink.
