THE Presented by GRAND FINALE Kate Rusby Mary Jane Lamond & Wendy MacIsaac Phil Cunningham Change of Step

CENTRE 200, SYDNEY 7:30 pm • $60/50/40/25

Tonight we wrap up Celtic Colours for another year, but not before one more night of music and dance featuring some of the best. Celebrated 56 English folk singer-songwriter Kate Rusby has, over the past 25 years, established herself as one of the finest interpreters of traditional folk songs and an emotive songwriter. Her expressive singing, engaging wit and the intuitive support of her top-shelf band are sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone in the room. Mary Jane Lamond and Wendy MacIsaac bring the Gaelic song and dance-influenced tune traditions together, with mesmerizing Gaelic vocals and outstanding musicianship. Scottish accordionist and composer Phil Cunningham is at the Festival this year playing with students from the Royal Conservatoire in the outstanding group Ùr. But we thought his superb playing and irrepressible sense of humour would fit the bill for this closing concert as well. And of course we can’t have a Celtic Colours Grand Finale Concert without some dancing so get ready for Change of Step.
