Favourite campsites around New South Wales These are some of our favourite campsites around New South Wales. We have selected a few from each region around the state of which we consider to be some of the best around. We hope these will inspire you to find your own favourites aroound the great state of New South Wales. Central West Big River Camping Area Bridle Track Camping Areas Goulburn River National Park Bathurst Area This 4wd only accessible site is perched above the beautiful Goulburn River. It is well grassed with shady spots available and easy access to the river to launch the canoe. Goulburn River National Park is about 40km south of Merriwa with access to the camping areas including Big River Scattered along the Macquarie Turon via Mogo Road from the township of Wollar.
