INTRODUCTION
I made this MAD to celebrate getting 100,000 subscribers
It’s the longest video I’ve ever made. It has the most sources, the most cuts and it’s the longest amount of time spent I’ve spent editing a video
It has 10 sections: 5 AMVs and 5 Interludes
Not including different episodes of the same show it has 146 unique sources
A question I’m asked a lot is: “Where can I watch the anime in your videos?”
Because there’s so much in the MAD and a main goal of my channel is to advertise the skills of animators, I made this companion book so you can easily find out how to watch and support the anime in the video
The Guide chapter will tell you where you can watch or buy every show, movie or piece of music featured in the video, in the chronological order they appear in the MAD
I’ve also scattered around other info, like ways you can support the anime industry, some good Sakuga related sites to visit and some notes about how and why I edited the MAD the way I did

Plastic Love -Hobbes Edit- The song in this section is a remix I made of Plastic Love (TARA Bootleg). I sped the song up, pitched it down to match the pitch of the original Plastic Love, extended it and added new sections. The pitch and tempo were changed in Audacity, other editing and EQ was done in Adobe Premiere.

From Wikipedia: “The Daicon III and IV Opening Animations are two short, anime, 8 mm films that were produced for the 1981 Daicon III and 1983 Daicon IV Nihon SF Taikai conventions. They were produced by a group of amateur animators known as Daicon Film, who would later go on to form the animation studio Gainax.”
People who worked as animators on the short films include Hideaki Anno (the future director of Neon Genesis Evangelion), Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (animator and character designer mostly known for designing the characters in Evangelion, FLCL and Wolf Children) and Ichiro Itano (the animator who popularised the midair missile barrage sequences now called the “Itano Circus”)

Cannon Busters Watch: Netflix This part of the MAD is meant to show how animation has inspired people to become animators. It starts with Daicon IV, a student film that lead to the creation of Studio Gainax. It transitions into Akira, arguably the most influential anime ever. After Unit-01 (animated by Takeshi Honda at Studio Gainax) leaps into the screen it transitions into Mitsuo Iso’s highly influential End of Evangelion fight scene. Animation by Norio Matsumoto and Yutaka Nakamura follows. Nakamura’s animation is followed by animation by Bahi JD and Shingo Yamashita. Two animators who followed in the footsteps of and were greatly influenced by Iso, Matsumoto and Nakamura. Animation from recent Web-Gen animators follows Bahi and Yamashita. Including Howard Wimshurst, Itsuki Tsuchigami, Tam Lu, Yen BM and Weilin Zhang. Many of them are heavily inspired by the previous generation of Web-Gen animators like Bahi and Yamashita. This part ends with the opening of Atom: The Beginning. This OP was directed by Bahi JD in his first role as Animation Director. He got to direct an idol of his, Mitsuo Iso, who animated the shot of the bird flying past camera. HOBBES SAKUGA
