AMANDA SEYFRIED BIOGRAPHY
American actress Amanda Seyfried has established herself as a captivating actress, appearing in many critically acclaimed film and television projects.
Amanda has starred in two huge musical adaptations: she played ‘Cosette’ in Universal’s LES MISERABLES and previously launched her leading lady career as the star of MAMMA MIA! and MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN with Meryl Streep. The former won multiple Oscars and the latter skyrocketed her from notable supporting roles, such as her cult favorite ‘Karen’ in Paramount’s MEAN GIRLS, to the star of a varied resume of movies. She starred in thriller CHLOE opposite Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson, Nicholas Sparks’ romantic DEAR JOHN with Channing Tatum, romantic dramedy LETTERS TO JULIET with Vanessa Redgrave and the title role in Catherine Hardwicke’s young adult RED RIDING HOOD.
Amanda will next be seen starring in the Blumhouse production of YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT opposite Kevin Bacon and FOX’s upcoming film THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN opposite Milo Ventimiglia. She starred in Universal’s comedy A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST opposite Seth MacFarlane and Charlize Theron and voiced the lead in Twentieth Century Fox’s animated EPIC. Amanda can also be seen starring opposite Ethan Hawke in the mystery film FIRST REFORMED, which was a smash hit with critics. She starred as ‘Linda Lovelace’ in the Radius TWC’s biopic LOVELACE. The film premiered at Sundance and Amanda received rave reviews for her performance.
Amanda stars in Mark Pellington’s indie feature THE LAST WORD opposite Shirley MacLaine. TED 2, the sequel to Universal Pictures’ hit film with Mark Wahlberg and Seth MacFarlane (the original grossed $548 million worldwide). She starred in Noah Baumbach’s independent feature film WHILE WE’RE YOUNG with Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts and Adam Driver, which premiered at TIFF and appeared in Joe Wright’s PAN for Warner Bros, an origin story of Peter Pan with Hugh Jackman. She also played the lead role in the independent feature FATHERS AND DAUGHTERS with Russell Crowe and Aaron Paul, and she starred in LOVE THE COOPERS with Diane Keaton, John Goodman and Ed Helms.
Her television career took off on HBO’s critically acclaimed BIG LOVE with Bill Paxton, Chloe Sevigny and Ginnger Goodwin and a memorable turn in cult favorite VERONICA MARS as the series’ catalyst.
