Outstanding grade in the project. My project was on (Haplotype analysis and alpha-thalassemia among patients with sickle cell disease in the ).

1996 – 1998 FELLOWSHIP IN CLINICAL GENETICS, DIABETES AND ENDOCRINOLOGY

Two years full time Fellowship training program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. The program includes attending Genetics, Endocrine and Diabetes outpatient clinics, looking after inpatients in the wards, teaching activities, rotation in Molecular Genetics laboratory and Cytogenetics Laboratory and rotation in metabolic clinic. During my training I participate in three case reports and molecular study involving linkage analysis which resulted in mapping the gene for Sanjad – Sakati syndrome.

2003 – 2004 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT

This is a one year diplomoa course conducted by ministry of Health in cooperation with the royal college of surgeons in Irland.

My score was “outstanding” in the CQI project and I received “Honors Diploma” for my peformance.

1. I was a member in the pediatric Council. 2. Covering General Pediatrics patients acording to on call rota. 3. Covering Clinical Genetic service for all pediatric patients in Bahrain. 4. Covering the combined neurometabolic and neurogenetic clinic with Dr. Fatima Nema and Dr. Emtithal Al Jishi.

5. Teahing for Arab Board residents in Pediatrics including the short clinical course prepared by the training committee in the department.

6. Involvment in the pediatric morning academic activites such as journal clubs and grand rounds.

7. I was a member in the “child protection committee” for two years. 8. Co-chairman of STRP committee 2014 for selecting new residents at Ministry of Health.

9. I received several incentives from department of Pediatrics and training office for my annual performance.

2. Internship Programm Coordinator:

I was the Chairman for Internship training committee for more than 10 years. The committee is responsible for organizing the internship training programme for about 145 interns at Ministry of Health.
