Agricultural Barn Location: Langley Park Farm, Langley Lower Green, Langley CB11 4SB I have been made aware of the proposal to erect a new barn at Langley Park Farm and whilst I have every respect for the necessity of farmers to manage their business, it has been suggested locally that this barn is primarily a storage hub and is grossly disproportionate in size to the land actually owned. There is no information on the application in respect of traffic movements, traffic management or designated routes for vehicles visiting or leaving the location. It is also my understanding that an additional large barn, with planning permission, is already under construction on land adjoining the proposed barn at Langley Park Farm, which will also have high volumes of HGV traffic, particularly during harvest time. The application makes no suggestion of constructing a new access at the junction with Park Lane to accommodate the turning area of large articulated vehicles, by experience, some with trailers. Clearly, the highway at this junction has restricted turning capacity and is not currently constructed in a way to support the aggressive friction between the vehicle tyres and the road. No vehicle tracking has been shown for vehicles entering or exiting the farm. Page 1 of 10 Should the vehicles visiting or leaving Langley Park Farm choose to turn north towards Little Chishill in Cambridgeshire they will need to navigate through very narrow lanes not designed to accommodate such sized vehicles. -

Minutes of the Planning Committee held on Monday, 1st February 2016 in the upstairs meeting room of the Community Hub at 7.20 p.m. Present: Cllrs Tulloch, M.Linnette, J Hales, J Regan, R Gatward, C Stead. In attendance: The Clerk PL138/15 Apologies for Absence: Cllrs Sherwen and Cllr Crosby for health reasons, Cllr Bloomfield for work commitments, and Cllr Norman for personal reasons. PL139/15 Declarations of Interest: N/A PL140/15 Minutes of the meeting held on 11th January 2016: Cllr Regan confirmed that the statement relating to the Electrical Test Certificate is an important health and safety issue and that should be mentioned within the minutes. Wording changed to: Cllr Regan raised his concern that prior to completion of the car park the following paper work must be received as soon as possible as without this Melbourn Parish Council will not settle final payment. Electrical Test Certificate (This is important due to Health and Safety Regulations). East West Rail - Making Meaningful Connections Non-Statutory Consultation I am writing on behalf of Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) in relation to the above non- statutory consultation on the East West Rail (EWR) project. Thank you for confirming in the email dated 15th April 2021 to Mrs. Burton that HDC’s comments would be accepted after the end of the consultation period in order to enable the responses to be considered by our Cabinet. The Council’s response is attached as appendix 1 to this letter. You will see from the information that the Council is of the view that a lot of information remains outstanding and we are therefore unable to recommend a route, and instead focus on key principles. The Council would welcome close collaboration with East West Rail as the project progresses. Recognising that feedback will inform next steps we strongly encourage EWR to share the evidence bases that inform route alignments to aid the public understanding of the rationale in the approach. Furthermore, in future consultations it is recommended that information be more transparent, easily accessible and simplified to allow members the public to understand proposals insofar as sections relate to communities.
