Fallen Angels and the History of Judaism and Christianity
P1:JZZ s0521853781 agg.xml CB912B-Reed 0521853788 May 28, 2006 8:37 fallen angels and the history of judaism and christianity This book considers the early history of Jewish–Christian relations through a focus on traditions about the fallen angels. In the Book of the Watchers,anEnochic apocalypse from the third century bce,the“sonsofGod”ofGen6:1 –4 are accused of corrupting humankind through their teachings of metalworking, cos- metology, magic, and divination. By tracing the transformations of this motif in Second Temple, Rabbinic, and early medieval Judaism and early, late antique, and Byzantine Christianity, this book sheds light on the history of interpretation of Genesis, the changing status of Enochic literature, and the place of parabibli- cal texts and traditions in the interchange between Jews and Christians in Late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages. In the process, it explores issues such as the role of text-selection in the delineation of community boundaries and the development of early Jewish and Christian ideas about the origins of evil on the earth. Fallen Angels and the Days of Noah
Christian Resource Center – New Hampshire (www.crcnh.org) Fallen Angels and The Days of Noah Introduction The bible tells us of an incredible event that happened during the days of Noah. This event was one of the main causes why God needed to flood the earth and kill all living things. Chapter 6 in the book of Genesis tells us about a group of angels (referred to as “the sons of God” in the Old Testament) that saw how beautiful human women were so they left their first estate in the spiritual realm and came to earth in order to commit a horrible sin of adultery between angels and humans. These are the “Fallen Angels”. These angels are also referred to as the “Watchers”. Apparently, they had the task of watching over mankind and they could not control their lustful urges when they saw how beautiful human women were. The Days of Noah During the first 1,500 years after God created Adam and Eve, people lived to be nearly 1,000 years old. Several examples of how many years people lived to be include (Adam-930, Seth-912, Kenan-910, Methuselah-969, Noah-950). Things were very different in those days for several reasons including: Please Make Copies and Distribute Freely Christian Resource Center – New Hampshire (www.crcnh.org) 1) The human genetics were purer because Adam and Eve were created in a “pristine” state which allowed inter-familial breeding without problems for many generations. 2) The ground had been cursed by God only about 1,000 years earlier so it probably took some time for plant diseases to form and spread. -
Book of Enoch and Noah
Book Of Enoch And Noah ‘Enoch lived three hundred sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God and he was not for God took him’ (Genesis 5:23 & 24). ‘By faith, Enoch was taken so he would not see death, and he was not found (on earth) because God translated him. Enoch has the testimony given to him, before his translation he had been well pleasing to God’ (Hebrews 11:5). ‘Enoch, the seventh generation from Adam prophesied saying, "Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of His holy ones to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the blasphemous things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him’” (Jude 1:14 & 15). This quote in Jude was a prophecy written by Enoch about the final judgement of all mankind. About 300 BC, the Jewish group called the Sadducees removed from the Tenach (Old Testament), the Book of Enoch. During that time, much of the Old Testament was translated into Greek for the Greek-speaking Jews. The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection or life after death (Matthew 22:23; Luke 20:27), putting the Sadducees at odds with the prophets, because the Book of Enoch majors on the Godly being resurrected to eternal life with God, and the ungodly being resurrected to damnation, as is also written in the Book of Daniel (Daniel 12:2). Jesus warned the Jewish people living in His day, not to accept the wrong teaching, or the ‘leaven’ preached by the Sadducees (Matthew 16:6). -

Impact of the Seed of Satan and the Nephilim on the Human Race
1 IMPACT OF THE SEED OF SATAN AND THE NEPHILIM ON THE HUMAN RACE NB: This teaching will be best understood by believers in Jesus Christ who have already studied our other teachings1. This teaching should also be seen as an introduction to the following teachings: Deliverance on human spirit level DID on human spirit level Caging by way of DID programming The Hidden Manna PART 1: THE REBELLION OF LUCIFER & THE FALLEN ANGELS AND THE FALL OF MAN 1. INTRODUCTION As believers in Jesus Christ, we know that His return is near and that we are living in the last days of which Jesus said in His Word: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.”2 These words of Jesus are generally interpreted by believers to mean that the last days before Jesus’ return will be full of evil and lawlessness, just as they were before the flood in Noah’s time. However, our Lord Jesus Christ has revealed to us (through His Holy Spirit) that the last days on earth will be exactly as in the days of Noah, before the flood, in that the fallen angels will return and the nephilim and the hybrids will once again be on the earth, as in those days. We have therefore once again been commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ to build an ark (although this time a spiritual one) and Jesus is inviting His precious Bride to enter 1 www.ignitedinchrist.org 2 Matthew 24:37, Luke 17:26. -

Printed in the United States of America New York: 158 Fifth Avenue London : 21 Paternoster Square STUDIES IN THE BOOK OF DANIEL SECOND SERIES INTRODUCTION Those who are acquainted with the first volume of Dr. Wilson's Studies in the Book of Daniel will need no extended introduction to the present volume. "The method pursued," he tells us, "is to give first of all a discussion of some of the principles involved in the ob- jections considered in the pages following; then to state the objec- tions with the assumptions on which they are based ; next, to give the reasons why these assumptions are adjudged to be false; and lastly, to sum up in a few words the conclusions to be derived from the dis- cussion." Dr. Wilson was accustomed to say that he would not attempt to answer general or sweeping charges against the Bible. But where specific charges were made, reflecting upon the truthful- ness of the Bible, and where evidence was presented in support of such charges, he was prepared to undertake the most painstaking investigations to test the correctness of the charges. -
The Legends of the Jews
THE LEGENDS OF THE JEWS V. \ BY LOUIS GINZBERG Translated from the German Manuscript by HENRIETTA SZOLD Svv\ I Bible Times and Characters From the Creation to Jacob Philadelphia The Jewish Publication Society of America 1913 The Ten Generations 127 above, and from the holy watchers is their beginning and primal origin ; they will be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits they will be named. And the spirits of heaven have their dwelling in heaven, but the spirits of the earth, which were born upon the earth, have their dwelling on the earth. And the spirits of the giants will devour, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and cause destruction on the earth, and work affliction. They will take no kind of food, nor will they thirst, and they will be invisible. And these spirits will rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them. Since the days of murder and destruction and the death of the giants, when the spirits went forth from the soul of their flesh, in order to destroy without incurring judgment—thus will they destroy until the day when the great consummation of the great world be consummated. And now as to the watchers who have sent thee to intercede for them, who had been afore- time in heaven, say to them : You have been in heaven, and though the hidden things had not yet been revealed to you, you know worthless mysteries, and in the hardness of your hearts you have recounted these to the women, and through these mysteries women and men work much evil " °^ on earth. -
"They Revealed Secrets to Their Wives": the Transmission of Magical Knowledge in 1 Enoch Rebecca Lesses Ithaca College
"They Revealed Secrets to Their Wives": The Transmission of Magical Knowledge in 1 Enoch Rebecca Lesses Ithaca College 1. Introduction The Book of the Watchers expands upon the enigmatic story in Genesis 6:1-4, in which the take human women for themselves. This paper focuses on how the (בְּנֵי-הָאֱלֹהִים) "sons of God" Book of Watchers, later Enochic booklets, and the book of Jubilees reinterpret the biblical story also includes the transmission of (עירין) so that the sin of the "sons of God" or Watchers knowledge forbidden to human beings, especially to women. In particular, the Watchers teach women the heavenly mysteries of "sorcery and spells," among them methods of divination by observance of heavenly and earthly phenomena. These, however, are not the true secrets of heaven – they are the "rejected mysteries," which the Watchers ought not to have taught human beings. The Book of the Watchers sets up a gendered dichotomy between the Watchers' human wives and Enoch; women are recipients only of rejected mysteries, while Enoch learns the true secrets of heaven from the revealing angels when he ascends to heaven alive. In this paper I will begin by briefly discussing the story of Gen. 6:1-4 as describing the illegitimate crossing of boundaries between the divine and the human, enacted upon the bodies of human women. I will then turn to the question of how and why women became associated with witchcraft in the prophetic corpus of the Hebrew Bible, and discuss how this might have **The paper addresses several issues: 1) Why focus in particular -
7 the Regent of Kamret
“Ch7” YON-3/ Ramos 1 7 The Regent of Kamret Baraqel sat, witnessing Kokabiel sleep. Angels seldom sent to each other. The preferred method of long-range communication was through their hard-wired comms, and Baraqel was no exception. Whether in Heaven, Hell, or Earth, Baraqel had never sent to a fellow angel. Even through the years as Kokabiel’s partner, he had never sent. Doing so would involve a level of vulnerability that Baraqel found uncomfortable. But Kokabiel had sent, when he whispered, “We are fallen.” He laid bare his entire existence, as a duty-bound, yet conflicted, Sentry on one hand, and then as a creature who felt so ashamed of his desire to follow a human that he had tried to keep his sojourn to Kamret secret from a fellow angel. He shared the pleasurable high of the bodily execution and then lifeforce consumption of sinful humans – but also the painful shame and guilt of doing so as he compelled that same human to check his morbid need for slaughter, her sending shaken with fear, That one! That one! That one! “She is a Beatrice. We are fallen. Can’t you feel it?” Baraqel was unsure of what to think, what to do. He needed time – to process the reality of his and Kokabiel’s situation, to work through the rising waves of anger, fear, and self-loathing that threatened to overwhelm him. His mind clamored, searching for the event that lead to their current state. We never should’ve interacted with the humans, you bastard Samyaza, he thought, hostility towards their absent commanding officer washing over him. -

BOOK OF ENOCH BY R. ISHMAEL BEN ELISHA THE HIGH PRIEST CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION : R. Ishmael ascends to heaven to behold the vision of the Merkaba and is given in charge to Metatron : AND ENOCH WALKED WITH GOD AND HE WAS NOT ; FOR GOD TOOK HIM (Gen. v. 24) Rabbi Ishmael said : x (i) When I ascended on high to behold the vision of the Merkaba^ and had entered the six Halls, one within the other: (2) as soon as I reached the door of the seventh Hall I stood still in prayer before the Holy One, blessed be He, and, lifting up my eyes on high (i.e. " towards the Divine Majesty), I said : (3) Lord of the Universe, I pray i-i so DE. Chh. i and ii; which are not extant in BCL, form an introduction to the book, supplying the explanation of the frame of chh. iii-xlviii A, purporting to be revelations and communications given to R. Ishmael by Metatron-Enoch. By the present introductory chapters is indicated that the occasion of these revelations was Rabbi IshmaePs ascent to behold the vision of the Merkaba (the Divine Chariot). R. Ishmael's ascension to heaven and intercourse with Metatron, or the Prince of the Presence, forms an intrinsic part of the Legend of the Ten Martyrs, including the so-called Apocalyptic Fragment (BH. v. 167-169, vi. 19-35; Siddur R.
