[email protected] ‘REAL’ Country Crooner Comes to Fort Myers Oct. 22, 2015 Ft. Myers, FL – For many, Ray Scott, needs no introductions. This country crooner, songwriter, and musician has gained widespread acclaim and respect for his music since he first landed on the scene in 2005 with his Warner Brothers debut album My Kind Of Music. It sold over 100,000 albums and tracks and was named one of Billboard’s Top 10 Albums of 2005; the first single and title track cracked the Top 40 on radio. The impressive debut was followed up with 2008’s Crazy Like Me and 2011’s Rayality, that featured the hit single “Those Jeans” which received substantial airplay on and support of SiriusXM and went on to sell more than 200,000 copies. Ray’s current radio single, “Ain’t Always Thirsty,” is a true story, written from a low point in Ray’s life after a divorce and a lot of self-reflection. “Country music used to sound like this in a lot of places,” Ray says. “It’s a slow song, a sad song and it’s based on reality. It’s not up-tempo and positive, and not at all formulaic like a lot of what you hear on mainstream radio. It’s exciting to me that it has an opportunity to be heard by people who will instantly recognize it as something that has been missing. The good news is, the kind of music I’m making now is not age-specific.
