Beechwood Fishing Trip It was decided by some of the gents at Beechwood Aged Care that a ‘Boys Day’ was well overdue. The bus was loaded up and out the group headed to Blues Point, named after Billie Blue, a convict transported in 1801 for stealing a bag of sugar, for a spot of fishing!!!

The highlight of the day was when Leonard reeled in a fish albeit a very small one just as a group of children passed. The children were so excited and Leonard was dishing out high fives all round. It was such a lovely moment for everyone. The group enjoyed a great day out sitting back and watching the waves lapping the edge of the shore, however next time the plan is to go to a location where bigger fish are biting. Special thank you to Via, the Beechwood bus driver who brings along all his fishing equipment for the group to use.

The residents recently enjoyed a wonderful evening out to Kangaroo Point. An inner southern suburb in the City of Brisbane which features two prominent attractions, the Story Bridge and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. After a delicious BBQ dinner, the group then sat and watched the lights turn over Brisbane.
