It will be the second time the winner of the season series between the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Niagara IceDogs will be awarded the K9 Cup. Once the title has been secured by either the Hamilton Bulldogs or Niagara Ice Dogs – the K9 Cup trophy will be given to the winning team on home ice – including a special $1,000 cheque presentation from TSN 1150 & CKTB for the champion’s charity of choice. The IceDogs are the defending K9 Cup Champions after posting a 5-1 record over the Bulldogs last season. The 2nd tilt of the 6-game series will take place tonight at FirstOntairo Centre. Niagara currently leads 1-0 in the series. FAST FACTS - Bulldogs rank 3rd in the OHL with 27.4% powerplay percentage. - Bulldogs Defenceman, Kade Landry is 3rd in Powerplay assists with 11. - Jason Robertson, who was acquired by the IceDogs on Nov. 19 from Kingston, ranks 4th in the OHL in points.
