The Phoenix Collegiate Newsletter Summer 2016 Edition No: 17 Phoenix NEW BUILD Just weeks away! If you have passed the school recently you cannot move back into a remodelled L block in September help but have noticed the structure of our new 2017 will mark the completion of the build and the building growing by the day. When complete, the new school will provide 14,500m² of accommodation and 2008 places for children. We are already fast approaching our maximum number of students, having been informed recently that we are now FULL in years 7 and 8. Our move in to the new buildings will be phased. September 2016 will see us take possession of two activity studios and a dance studio, all situated at the rear of the new Sports Centre. On the 1st of July, our Year 11 students officially left the school and there were two events to celebrate this. In the morning, there was a special assembly to celebrate their time at Phoenix and in the evening, the Year 11 prom was held at the West Bromwich Year 10 Birmingham Albion, Richardson suite. He came as part of a project from sky living for sports. He spoke about 6 key factors for success such as mental toughness. The students took part in various activities to push themselves out of their comfort zones. Students worked together to achieve success. It was a great day and Phoenix students were excellent.
