Add a little bourbon and beer and you have a real homerun. Originally opened in 1935 the Stitzel-Weller Distillery, now home to the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience, is one of the true cathedrals of American whiskey, historic home to many of the industry’s iconic brands, innovators and personalities. Louisville is a sports town and in the heart of downtown you’ll find Louisville Slugger Field the home of the Triple A Louisville Bats. This riverfront stadium with it’s retro-classic design is one of the most admired parks in all of baseball and was voted as the “2nd Best Minor League Ballpark in America” by USA Today. Slide into homeplate at the BBC Taproom. Part of Kentucky’s longest continuously operating brewery, the BBC has been brewing craft beer in Louisville since 1993. You can find BBC beers in five regional states. TOUR #10 WHISKEY, BEER & WINE While most people think of bourbon when they think Kentucky, wine and beer are also making a splash in Bourbon Country. This tour will take you to a distillery, a brewery and a winery – all within two blocks of each other. Peerless Distillery is a family-owned distillery that produces a premium, small-batch bourbon. Just down the street is Old 502 Winery. Old 502 is Kentucky’s only urban winery. Using grapes grown by local Kentucky farmers, all the wine is made in downtown Louisville.
