  • 1 1. Revenue the World Theme Park Market Is Projected to Be $28.7
    1. Revenue The World theme park market is projected to be $28.7 billion by 2010. The U.S. is the top in the theme park market with North Asia coming in second. The company said the Hong Kong park drew fewer visitors from October to December 2006 than in the same period the previous year amid otherwise stellar first-quarter fiscal year 2007 results. Attendance and sales at the park also fell short of projections. Disney will then be forced to refinance the US$294 million (HK$2.29 million) in debt taken out for the park. http://www.thestandard.com.hk/news_detail.asp?pp_cat=1&art_id=37951&sid=12132412&con_type=1 Friday, February 09, 2007 2. Size of Company Hong Kong Disneyland Park Overview Hong Kong Disneyland opened September 12, 2005. The park is Disney's fifth "Magic Kingdom"-style park, and the company's first theme park in China. It is by far the smallest Magic Kingdom park, lacking popular attractions such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain. Hong Kong Disneyland is located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. By train, take the MTR Tung Chung line to Sunny Bay Station, then to the Disneyland Resort Station. Hong Kong Disneyland is 10 minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport. Disney contracts with over 40,000 factories and 6,000 vendors around the world. It has established an International Labor Standards code and oversight group, and it utilizes independent auditors in its overseas factories. Despite the ILS program and its associated collaborative monitoring project in China which includes NGOs in addition to the internal and independent monitors employe, Disney continues to come under public scrutiny for questionable labor practices.

The Work Ahead in M&E: Scaling a Three-Dimensional Chessboard Media and entertainment businesses have been playing the digital game for years. Post-pandemic, however, the rules have intensified, and competing will require even bolder moves and investments in digital, according to our research. The Work Ahead Executive Summary The industry’s ever-accelerating variables have become so unrecognizable in a post-COVID world that M&E executives might feel they’re being forced to play Star Trek’s futuristic, three-dimensional chess game – without knowing the rules. Enter the 2020s: The industry was steadily moving on how organizations are evolving to the next stage of into the “second half of the chessboard,”1 in which the digital world. Introduction When it comes to Disneyland, everyone thinks of the Disneyland and its cartoons. It seems to stand an important role in today’s society. How can it makes such huge influence? Many people can’t believe that with just a little mouse can a big world group be made. But it still attracts many people to love this paradise. In my opinion, the most famous paradise in the world has to be Disneyland. Before it appeared, the Disney cartoon characters has already been world-renowned. People fall in love with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and other Disney characters. In addition, animated films like Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, Pinnochio, and Bambi has enjoyed spectacular success. All the cute, famous cartoon characters and their heart-warming stories flock in a dream paradise, the Disneyland. Now there are five cities in the world with this amusement park. That’s why I want to know why this land is so popular that people from all around the world are crazy about it. Some people have spent lot of money on their products, while other people love its cartoons or paradises. And most of them think they should go visit the Disneyland at least once in their life time. Thus I will research its founder, background and the features of the five Disneyland in the world to know more about the fun world--Disneyland. II.
