VICE Media Group Receives Record 23 News & Documentary Emmy Award Nominations

BROOKLYN, NY (July 27, 2021) – Today, it was announced by the National Academy of Television Arts & (NATAS) that Group has been nominated for 23 News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, the most nominations ever in the company’s history. Tonight is the most-nominated nightly newscast for the fourth consecutive year, while VICE TV is America’s Most Emmy-nominated cable entertainment television network.

VICE News Tonight was nominated across 12 categories including: Outstanding Newscast, Outstanding Coverage of a Breaking News Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Continuing Coverage of a News Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Short Feature Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Long Feature Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Investigative Report in a Newscast, Outstanding News Analysis: Editorial and Opinion, Outstanding , Technology or Environmental Coverage, Best Story in a Newscast, Outstanding Feature Story in Spanish, Outstanding Video Journalism: News, and Outstanding Editing: News.

VICE TV also got nods for VICE Versa: Between Musk and Mars and Fringe Nation: Legacy of the KKK both produced by the VICE World News, and Enemies of the People: Trump and the Political Press, made with Retro Report. Additional nominations include Investigations by VICE: Disgrace (Hulu) and VICE’s 2020 Iowa Brown & Black Presidential Forum.
