From August 24, 20 teams, 240 players and 20 referees will gather at the world’s largest youth volleyball banquet in Tehran to hold the 17th FIVB Boys’ U19 Volleyball World Championship in a safe bubble taking confidence in the Almighty God. 240 I hope in this event, we all witness potent and fair performance from the teams, and I do believe Iran Players will aptly host the teams of different ethnicities and nations as deep as its name, history and culture. Introduction

The following measures and protocols are defined by the FIVB and the Organizer based on the Covid-19 restriction policies that apply in Iran. The Local Organizer Committee will have representatives who will be present at IKA (Imam Khomeini in International Airport of Iran) for pick up. The organiser has full responsibility to facilitate everything in the venue (and hotels) in such a way that all participants can follow the measures and protocols that are in effect at that time and can, by doing that safely enjoy the event The organizer is counting on the cooperation of all participants at this event. Anyone who violates the measures and protocols will be subject to strict supervision and sanctions.

Goal

The Protocol sets all possible mitigation steps to reduce the risk of infection and to protect all participants who involve in the FIVB Volleyball Boys’ U19 World Championship during the COVID-19 pandemic to the greatest extent possible. Safety and well-being of our players, officials and staff is the top priority of the FIVB and the Organizer and breach of protocols shall not be tolerated.

Changes

Please note that the current version of the COVID-19 safety protocol has been submitted to the Iranian governmental authorities and may be subject to amendments. The FIVB and Organizer will monitor developments and distribute additional information/update the protocol as necessary.

Sanctions

In the event that any party fails to fulfil its obligations under these protocols, the FIVB reserves the right to suspend the accreditation of such party and the persons in contact with said party. Additional disciplinary action may also be taken by the FIVB in accordance with the FIVB Discipli- nary Regulations.
