Developmenthomes near new school By Matt Heilman Progress continued on the city’s newest resi- dential development last month. The Bel Aire City Council in June approved infrastructure improvements as well as the plat for the Rock Spring starter home subdivision, which is southeast of the new Wichita high school near 53rd North and Rock Road. On June 21, the council approved six resolu- tions for construction on the development. In one extended motion, the council approved 53rd Street paving improvements, sewer improve- ments, water distribution system improvements, sidewalk improvements and water drainage improvements for Rock Spring, as well as paving improvements in the development. The resolutions started the process to see the plans for the housing addition become a reality.

volunteerMost small towns across the United States are similar. Residents go about their daily lives without much thought of the communities in which they live. They pay their bills, take care of their families, have small talk with their neighbors.
