May 1st, 2021 Week 2 Bills 49, Seahawks 21 The Bills offense and defense were too much for the Seahawks. The Seahawks started the game with the ball and went to work early as Cal Stonebreaker went 20 yards after the catch to get the ball moving. Cal’s twin brother Brett kept the Seahawks rolling with a huge 45 yard catch and run. Inside the red zone, Cameron Hiller was able to catch the ball and put the Seahawks on the board 7-0. It wouldn’t take long for the Bills offense to answer back as on the second play on the ensuing drive, Aerik Battaglia caught a short pass and turned on the jets to score an 80 yard touchdown making the score 7-7. After the Seahawks were not able to convert on 4th down, the Bills got the ball back and marched down the field and scored on a short touchdown grab from AJ Battaglia, making the score 14-7. With the next Seahawks possession, the team was marching but the drive fell short when the pass got deflected and landed in the arms of Bills defender Richie Andres to set up the Bills offense with great field position. A few plays later Gavin Steves was able to catch it and run about 10 yards to get the touchdown and score, making the score 21-7 in favor of the Bills. The Seahawks were ready to get back out there on offense and it showed with another monstrous catch and run from Cal Stonebreaker that would set up a short touchdown for Lawson O’Connell to even the score up 21-14. Bills offense was ready to answer back after a nice catch and run from Wesley Stahl set up a long touchdown score by AJ Battaglia, making the score 28-14 at the end of the first half. As the Bills got the ball to start the second half, it didn’t take the team long as Richie Andres had a phenomenal 80 yard catch and long run that extended the Bills lead to 35-14. With the Seahawks getting the ball back and trailing, the team needed to answer back and their drive looked promising with a flea flicker that resulted in a 30 yard gain by Brett Stonebreaker followed by a short catch and run from O’Connell. However, the Seahawks ran a play that had Cal Stonebreaker throwing the ball and resulted in an interception from Aaron Battaglia that would turn into a pick six, reminiscent of Taron Johnson’s INT against Lamar Jackson in the Bills playoff game, giving the Bills a 42-14 lead. As the lead continued to grow for the Bills, the Seahawks offense seemed to fizzle out towards the end of the game as their next drive resulted in a turnover on downs and would set up a nifty catch from Wes Stahl that ended in him finding the endzone and making the score 49-14. The Seahawks team showed a lot of pride as they continued to battle and it paid off as a huge catch and run from O’Connell set up a Brett Stonebreaker touchdown, making the score 49-21. With time running out in the game, the Bills ran the clock out and won 49-21. After getting the ball to start the second quarter, Shiesley went 80 yards to the house to score a touchdown and give the Browns a 14-0 lead. With the second half starting up and the Chiefs starting with the ball, the team built off their last drive and marched down field thanks to back-to-back huge gains from Carter Micoli and Brantley Hillman that would end with a touchdown from Micoli to put the Chiefs on the board, 21-7. The Browns were not intimidated by the Chiefs touchdown as the team took the ball all the way down field thanks to a 25 yard catch and run from Sparks and 20 yard catch from Eric Grinell to put the Browns in the opponents territory. The very next play Shiesley had a 40 yard touchdown to make the score 28-7 and end the third quarter. The Chiefs offense looked to answer back with a touchdown of their own, but were forced to punt the ball and give the ball back to the Browns. As the Browns got the ball in opponent territory it was a flea-flicker from Shisley back to QB Lemke back to Shiesley that got the Browns the touchdown, making the score 35-7. The Chiefs never backed down and continued to play hard as they answered back on their next drive with Matthew Vittum setting the team up with a 30 yard catch followed by a short catch from Brantley Hillman to give the team the first down. The Raiders took a 7-0 lead to start. With a Bucs punt, the Raiders kept chugging along, Colton Malstrom took the ball 60 yards to give the Raiders a first down and the drive was capped off with a Rieselman touchdown with a nifty stop-and-go route, making the score 14-0. The Bucs were still looking to get things going on offense, but couldn’t figure it out with another three and out that gave the Raiders the ball back. This time it was Nikko Giolando with a 60 yard catch and run followed by a Colton Malstrom 25 yard touchdown to extend the Raiders lead to end the first quarter, 21-0. Knowing that deficit was growing, the Bucs needed to get their offense moving and they did with an 80 yard touchdown from Dylan Sumi that put the Bucs on the board 21-7. It didn’t take long for the Raiders to answer back with Malstrom going 60 yards for the touchdown that was setup by teammate Zach Biermann. This gave the Raiders a 28-7 lead. The Bucs kept going as Benji Oviatt went 80 yards down field with only 30 seconds left in the first half for the touchdown making the score 28-14. The Bucs got the ball back to start the second half and the offense continued to hum out there with a nice catch and run from Sumi to close the gap and make the score 28-21. Both teams were answering each other back as the Raiders got the ball back and a few plays later Rieselman went 80 yards to the house to make the score 35-21. As the Bucs got the ball back their whole drive was set up by Jameson Dalke that went 45 yards and a few plays later Dalke scored off a slant route making the game closer, 35-28 at the end of the third quarter. With a punt by the Raiders to start the fourth quarter, the Bucs offense was hitting its stride with a 45 yard catch and run from Michael Perfetti and on 4th down and short it was Jon Masse who helped pick up a crucial 1st and goal for his team. After a big defensive stop by Logan Harroun for the Raiders, it was Blake Dantuono who tied the game up 35-35 with 3:30 left to go in the fourth quarter. With time dwindling down for the Raiders offense, the team had to put a good drive together and it started with Harroun grabbing a first down catch with Giolando making another huge catch on second down. On third down it was Bradley Madrid who got his team a crucial first down with the clock still ticking. Giolando caught another huge pass to put the Raiders in the Red Zone.
